Where can I get this?

Post by Mystique »

The French version of Peter Pan? Y'know the fancy 2 disc set

http://www.jamesreader.plus.com/covers/peterpan_1.jpg

What are the extras like? I have the UK 1 disc version is there much difference?

I've tried Amazon.fr and apart from not being able to read a word of it I couldn't see any images of it so I'm guessing it may have been deleted now?

Anyone? :)

Managed to find a copy!!!! Not a silly price either!

Cool. League of Gentlemen avatar!

Judging from the Amazon Fr listing it is OOP, and boy is it selling for big bucks (well, big euros). 300 new, 170 used!

Sorry, looks like you've missed it.

My review of the Japanese edition is here
http://www.ultimatedisney.com/forum/vie ... pan+french
it has the same supplements.

Interesting fact: Trisha used to host a children's show called Play School out here in Australia.

If you don't get it from here try it in occasion (but sometimes brand new) from Price minister : http://www.priceminister.com/offer/buy/ ... one-2.html
or the French eBay site.

Just ordered mine from Alapage! Can't wait...

I also had to have the 3 disc Brother Bear for 30 euro. (It's only available as a single disc in the UK!)

Yeah but this deluxe edition as I said in another thread is bullshit : a stupid 4 tracks CD and an even more stupid print sudio for PC, both in French. Just 1 disc is really about the movie and this disc is the same as the UK's edition. The only good thing about this 3 disc set is the very nice digiapck packaging, with great pics.

BVHE France has planned to rerelease Brother Bear in a real Collector's Edition 2-Disc Set this december.
This ultimate set should feature ALL the Region 1's special features (which is not the case on this so-called deluxe set you ordered) and maybe even more !...

Besides, I have the Peter Pan Collector's Edition and it is really great : great packaging and features !

Hmmm... it's says it is in 2.35:1 ratio which is why I ordered it. Are you sure it is the same as the UK edition? (not sure if I can cancel it now)

Careful Mystique - make sure the Thundercats discs have an English soundtrack.

For example the French He-Man sets don't. (And neither does their 6 disc complete Mysterious Cities of Gold :( - although thats probably because the English language prints were destroyed in a warehouse fire in the early 90s.)

There's lots of desirable French sets with no English soundtracks.

No you right, the proper aspect ratio in the French set is the only difference with the UK's :)
