Disney Video Games
I've never seen this topic before, but if there already is a thread, my appologies.
I was cleaning out my closet yesterday, and I came upon quite a few Disney video games.
I'm sure Kingdom Hearts (PS2) is the most popular, but I also found the following in my collection:
Disney's Magical Mirror Starring Mickey Mouse (Game Cube)
Mickey Mousecapades (NES)
The Little Mermaid (NES)
Mickey Mania (SNES)
The Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse (SNES)
Disney Sports Soccer (Game Boy Advance)
Disney's Magical Quest (Game Boy Advance) (Same game as the SNES of the same title, different platform)
Disney's Princesses (Game Boy Advance)
The Lion King (Sega Game Gear)
I also could have sworn I had an Aladdin game, but I guess I lost it or something.
Does anyone have games like these or other versions? Just wondering what's out there.
Finally, when I was little, I had a Little Mermaid handheld game where Ariel had to scour the bottom of the sea searcing for forks, pipes and other human items. In the end Eric kills her, same way as the movie...I was wondering if anyone has one...I think it's by Tiger Electronics, but I'm not quite sure.

My Mermaid game broke when I was little, I've been dying for a new one since it broke..joplin4 wrote:I had that same "Little Mermaid" hand held game.
I also have:
The Jungle Book (SEGA)
Mickey Mania (SEGA)
Aladdin (SEGA)
The Lion King (SEGA)
I think that's about it.
Are yours for Genesis? CD? Game Gear?

Since I've never had a Nintendo system (though my cousins did), I'll just post here. I love playing Disney video games, even if I do get easily frusturated. I have:
Sega Genesis:
Aladdin
The Lion King (GameGear, though I've played the Genesis one)
Mickey Mania
Goofy's Hysterical Hystory Tour
Pinocchio
Gameboy Color:
Tarzan
Mickey's Racing Adventure
Alice in Wonderland
Winnie the Pooh: Adventures in the Hundred Acre Wood
PC:
Aladdin Activity Center
Toy Story Activity Center
Toy Story Animated Storybook
101 Dalmatians Animated Storybook
Mulan Animated Storybook
The Walt Disney World Explorer
Magic Artist
Hercules
The D Show (Best Disney Game Ever)
Tarzan
Villain's Revenge
Disney Trivia Challenge
Since Gameboy Color games seem to have gone extinct, I guess it's time for me to upgrade to Gameboy Advance (and the good thing with that is it's compatible with Gameboy Color games).

You might want to wait until after the Game Boy DS comes out...I'm not sure if GBA games and GBC games are compatible, but I'm sure you'll kick yourself if they are.Disneykid wrote: Since Gameboy Color games seem to have gone extinct, I guess it's time for me to upgrade to Gameboy Advance (and the good thing with that is it's compatible with Gameboy Color games).
No, the DS is of it's own type. Think of it as 3 different consoles that are out...GBA, GC, and DS. As for compatibility, the DS and GBA are backwards compatible (as well as with all earlier versions of the GB). It's a tough decision if money is the issue, but if it is, than I'd go with the DS. You can still play the GBA games on it, but I guess the drawback is that you will have a second screen for nothing (when you are playing the GBA games.
But the thing to keep in mind, is that the DS is not a substitute for the GBA, but it's own system. So the future of GBA still exists.

My thinking is this:Disneykid wrote: Sorry, Gameboy console (what's the difference?).
NES
SNES
N64
Each of these systems have their own unique game format (i.e. carts.)
GB Color
GB Pocket
GB Advance
They all use the same type of games, true, GBA games won't work in a GBC, but chronologically forward they work, thus same system.
I'd like to clearly state, this is my own opinion, any other logic is probably better, but this is what I use in my own little world.
I forgot my PC game!! I do have The D Show. And I'm with Kelvin. That's the best game ever!!! When I get my own computer, I'm putting it back on. Right now, my sis has so much stuff on this one, it's not worth putting it on.

Which is what my other post stated...anyway, you asked, so I clarified.Disneykid wrote:Aha. When I said system, I didn't mean it like that, but system as in the individual product (in other words, the corrected version you posted of what I said earlier is what I meant: a new Gameboy is introduced every year it seems).
Anyway, Think you're gonna get GB DS?
