Which actor played Batman the best?

Post by MickeyMousePal »

We all know that Christian Bale has been cast to play the leading role as Batman but he wasn't the only Batman.
My poll will tell which actor played the role as Batman the best from either the acting or the voice.

Here's the list of the latest Batman's over the years.

Adam West
Olan Soule
Michael Keaton
Kevin Conroy
Val Kilmer
George Clooney
Will Friedle

I guess I'll go with Kevin Conroy. :)

Yes, Kevin Conroy. But Adam West is a close second!

Which Actor Played BATMAN The Best

Post by Disney Guru »

Deffinately Adam West. The others were good. But who can beet the King of The 60's. Adam West as BATMAN in that classic 60's TV show that desperately needs to be releaesd in beautiful season box sets. Did you hear that Columbia ? Releaes this series! Adam West is deffinately the best!

Most definitely Kevin Conroy.

As far as the big-budget movies go, I feel Michael Keaton did a better job than both Val Kilmer and George Clooney, but he still doesn't even come close to topping Conroy.

I want to vote for Will Friedle, I really do. But Michael Keaton is Batman, no question about it. That being said, I don't think there's ever been a terrible Batman (except the one that came to my 8th birthday party), though some are certainly better than others. I will always hold a certain affection for the Adam West Batman, though, and the series is released on DVD.

Btw, great poll, MMP.

Well, that's tough.

For me there hasn't been a definitive live-action Batman yet. I tend towards Keaton, but that is only because I like the Burton films (he was certainly not playing the Bat as written, at least not in my mind).

It took me a while to realize that three of those actors were actually voice actors (Excuse my lack of cartoon knowledge).

I guess Kevin Conroy then, only because the animated series was so good. But can you really say he "played" Batman, given that 90% of the work was done by other people?

Then again the live action people have stuntmen.

Nope. I don't think any of them are the "definitive" Batman for me.

Olan Soule provided the voice for Batman in the Super Friends series and Kevin Conroy provided the voice for Batman in Batman: The Animated Series to Justice League.

I haven't seen the Keaton movies, so I vote for Val Kilmer.

Kevin Conroy has been the best voice so far for Batman, I have yet to see someone act as him...

I voted Adam West just because he's become a pop icon in himself due to that role. Sooo cheezy but soooo good:D I also really liked Michael Keaton too though; didn't much care for the movies Burton didn't direct so that impacted my view on Clooney, and Kilmer. Even my preferance of Keaton could be attributed to my love of the Burton films though.

What about the Batmans from the 40's movie serials, or the voice of Batman in the Superman radio serials?
Oh and i don't know is the name of the "actor" of Batman:Deadend included? (Can't remember his name at the moment)

Now going to my carazee marmaladic brain, to me one of the best Batman movies is Robocop :P. The original Robocop is a good Batman in disguise. There was also this Clint Eastwood movie with Charlie Sheen and Sonia Braga. Almost a Batman and Robin with Catwoman movie. Another cool Batman and Robin movie was Breakin' with that girl as Batgirl :P

Last but not least, when I saw Young Guns, since Charlie Sheen coulda been a good uptight Dick Grayson, well his wild brother Emilio Esteves might have been a good clone Robin Jason Todd! That movie had also someone i think coulda made a moody serious Batman, Terence Stamp.
If he can play Zod and a TS, and be Modesty Blaise's partner too, he can play Batman

yes, i know im strange
