Well I recentley bought Ashlee Simpson's CD Autobiography and am totaly digging it. I dont really like her as a person but there is something about her voice that is pretty unique to me and there is a lot of emotion behind her songs its great and if you havent heard it check it out.

Whats In Your Stereo ?
I am not really sure if there has ever been a thread with this subject. This sort of like what movie have you seen recentley. So I was wondering what is everyone listening to these days. Whats in you stereo right now?

I've been listening to soundtracks: Star Wars, LOTR, Spider-Man, Batman, TLK, a few others. I've also been recently playing Maroon 5, Justin Timberlake, stuff like dat. Sometimes I play the "hits" CDs of musicians like David Bowie, The Beatles, Van Halen, Led Zeppelin, even Green Day. I normally listen to the radio though; being mostly classic rock or "today's" top hits. I have even developped a taste for classical and jazz thanks to digital cable music stations.

Great topic idea! Been thinking about starting one like this actually...
This very second I have Dallas Crane's new self-titled record on the spin. An Aussie band, and quite one of the best on the planet. Rock/blues with dirty riffs and gravelly voices. Strap on your smoky denim jackets and crack open some tinnies and you can't ask for a better night in or out.
Saw Ash last night, so I've been listening to their new album Meltdown and the best-of Intergalactic Sonic 7"s as well.
Franz Ferdinand and The Fiery Furnaces have also had a bit of play lately.
Constant faves are anything by Tim Rogers/You Am I; David Bowie; and all the classics I've probably mentioned in a million other threads.

I gotta look for some Kylie Minogue CDs. Thanks for reminding me MickeyMouseboy!MickeyMouseboy wrote:Kylie Minogue - Light Years
I listen to Brother Bear and The Lion King CDs on my computer and my home theater system. The only AM and FM radio stations I listen to are news stations like CSPAN, NPR, and local AM news stations. I get most of my news from shortwave radio though.
Later all.

I usually don't listen to music. Not even the radio. If I am doing something else at the same time it distracts me to much. When I do listen to music it is usually Disney or instrumental. I like classical music or big orchestrations of songs. I have Mannheim Steamroller Meets the Mouse
CD and I love it
! I bought another one of Disney classics by the 100strings orchestra, but in some of them they have unknown singers. Though they are good, I'm too used to hearing the original singers.
I also like to listen to Big Band, Disco
, and of course Christmas Music
.
Recently I have listened to Disneymania. To some it may be lame and juvenile, but I like it
! My favorite ones are "I Wanna Be Like You", "Under the Sea", "Reflection", "Beauty and the Beast", "The Tiki Room" and "Hakuna Matata." Did anyone else notice how the beginning of "I Just Can't Wait to be King" sounds A LOT like Footloose?
I really want to get Disneymania 2 and 1 as a set b/c my Disneymania 1 is actually burnt and is missing the first and last tracks. I know in some other thread someone mentioned they were sold together, but I can't find it!

Re: CD'S
On the contrary, I've got quite a few of yours (not in my stereo though, on the computer): Frank Sinatra and Glenn Miller, namely. Also have some Cole Porter, Ella Fitzgerald, Benny Goodman, and probably 40 or so songs burned from two CD's in a 4-pack called "Dancing and Romancing in the '40s". I don't know why I didn't burn the other two CDs...Disney Guru wrote:Hey Guys,

I also have theme songs/background music from soap operas, Walt Disney World, and several movie soundtracks, among other things.

Right now I just finish hearing The Lion King, Brother Bear, Celine Dion, Dido, Hilary Duff and Britney Spears on my stero!!!
I have so many CD's that it takes me hours to finish hearing them all.
My stero is about 3 years old so it’s new.

Well, my CD player recently broke. I usually use iTunes or my iPod, though, or listen to the radio (which I hate, but still listen to- go figure).
Lately, I've been listening to a lot of Maroon 5, Ben Kweller, Jason Mraz, Amy Grant, Frank Sinatra, and Mariah Carey. I almost always have a random song playing, though. On the AG Fan Club, we have sort of a tradition of posting what's playing right now in small letters at the bottom of your post (as will be demonstrated at the bottom of this post). Perhaps everyone would like to do that here?

You're very welcome.
Actually - nothing in my stereo, as such. My preferred way of listening to music is on my portables player while I take a walk down by the creek. I really like to be moving when I listen to stuff. And headphones allow you to catch all the intricate little details of scores that you'd otherwise miss on a stereo.
And yeah, I'm a soundtracks freak. I really enjoy instrumental or "mood" music the most. It allows you to imagine your own scenario to fit the score - it's fun! I mostly have Disney soundtracks - and even then, not a ton. I only have about 3-4 dozen CDs in total, and actively listen to only about a dozen of those. O_o Right now, I've got that old Pure Moods compilation on my player... hehe.
Sometimes I wish I could be music savvy like Loomis or STASHONE, but I guess I just wasn't raised in the right environment for a musical passion. I mean, my dad listens to public radio and my mom listens to craptacular lite rock, for gawd's sake. LOL!
