Dalmatian names?

Post by MagiChar »

I was just wondering how many of the 101 Dalmations were given a name.

The original movie had the names - I believe the non-"adopted" ones all had names.

From the original movie, the ones I remember with names were Pongo and Perdita (the parents), and from the fifteen original puppies, there were: Lucky, Patch, Rolly, Freckles, Pepper, and I think Penny. And in the TV Series, there was a female one named Cadpig that went around with Patch and Rolly.

Very few of the dalmations got names. Speaking of the 101 Dalmations TV Series where are the Season Box Sets ? I want those Season Box Sets. Buena Vista hear our requests and release this TV show on Season Box Sets.

Also in 101 Dalmations, the live action version, there was Dipstick, Whizzer, and others. In Disney Adventures (Dec 2000), they named the rest of them in addition to Dottie, Oddball, Little Dipper, and Domino:

Snake Eyes, Whirlwind, Bluster, Diggity, Scamper, Toffee, Gumball, Big Dipper, Dab, Chocolate Chip, Polka, Patches, Inky, Rorschach, Splatter, Fisher, Spindle, Flip, Cue Ball, Checkers, Bubba, Sergeants, Chew, Bones, Princess (I remember she was marketed a lot in the movie toy line), Freckles, Eight Ball, Orion, Full Stop, Dotcom, Marbles, Sunspot, Snip, Nickles, Hotdog, Fetch, Cinders, Lollipop, Squeaky, Gobstopper, Scout, Buttons, Cotton Ball, Tic, Tac, Toe, Junior, Jake, Speckles, Ears, Alameda, Nipper, Tippy, Jersey, Skipper, Badger, Twister, Ellipses, Snowball, Pinwheel, Pepper , Jimmies, Buddy, Stripes, Chester, Windy, Fang, Nugget, Ralph, Smoky, Chief, Soho, Drifter, Rufus, Peeve, Moose, Cosmo, Grinder, Gideon, Tug, Squirrel, Chance, Snicker, Badges, Blunder, Zephyr, Chase, Sparky, Wags, Soccer, Bongo, Smudge, Bootsie, Bogey, Otto, Hydrant, Ashes, Typhoon, and Bob.

Sounds like someone else has shoeboxes upon shoeboxes full of Disney Adventures, lol. Unfortunately, this issue would have been way after I stopped collecting. I wonder if DA just made up those names.

These are not the original 101 Dalmatians.

These are the names of the 102 NEW dalmatians kidnapped by Cruella in the new movie.
Oddball, Little Dipper, and Domino are the children of Dottie, who's "married" to one of the original puppies, Dipstick.
These dalmatians are the next generation.

Lol, sorry, I meant to include that! The issue came out the same time the sequel did.

Aaron - yeah, they made them up :P . How early are your issues? Mine starts with December 1995 - August 1997. Then I stopped and returned Winter 2000 and stopped recently with Winter 2004 since I started to only read a little on the day it came in the mail and read Disney Magazine instead. I wish though that Disney Magazine would have more than four issues a year.

I've got just about every issue from '93 to '98, most in mint condition. We're talking shoe box upon shoe box, lol.
