Santa Holiday 80s/90s Movie: Forgot Title!

Post by Swiss »

This is very vague, but does anyone remember an old Christmas live-action movie from the late 80's or early 90's. It is about three kids, that live in a trailer type home in a wintery setting. Then there's an elf that comes to take them to The North Pole. I remember the kids being skeptical about the ride, I also remember a candy cane that had a phone for the elf to communicate to the north pole.

I really can't remember much more. If I do I will post. Thank you everyone :)

It wasn't Santa Claus: The Movie was it? That was in 1985 though.

I remember that one reasonably well, but it is probably not the one you are thinking of.

I believe you are thinking of The Night They Saved Christmas, a personal favorite of my childhood years.

Look! It's available on video cassette!

Thank you Loomis and pinkrenata!!

Originally I thought it wasSanta Clause: The Movie, but later found out it was not.

"The Night They Saved Christmas" is it!!! I remember that nutty looking elf anywhere!! Oh my! THANK YOU! I love that childhood holiday classic! It's really a heartwarming movie, and a delightful film during the holiday season. I wish they had the DVD like they do un Germany and UK :)
