Other Animation - Round 11
The last round was a little closer than expected, but still not much of a contest...
Voted out so far...
Round 1 - Recess: School's Out, Teacher's Pet
Round 2 - Doug's First Movie, Piglet's Big Movie
Round 3 - The Jungle Book 2, Dinosaur
Round 4 - James and the Giant Peach, Return To Neverland
Round 5 - The Tigger Movie, The Brave Little Toaster
Round 6 - Ducktales: The Movie- The Treasure Of The Lost Lamp*
Round 7 - A Goofy Movie
Round 8 - The Nightmare Before Christmas
Round 9 - A Bug's Life
Round 10 - Toy Story
It works just like the Survivor TV show. Basically, come on here once every 2 days and vote for the Disney animated film that you want to vote off, i.e., the one that you like the least. At the end of the round, I'll come on here and announce who got voted off, and a new thread will start for the 12th (and final) round.
For the purposes of the game, we'll use the site definition for 'Other Animation,' which is any animated film distributed by Disney, excluding Disney Feature Animation. This includes anything made by Walt Disney Television or Pixar, and any films that fall into special, outside categories of theatrical animation. You can see the site's list of Other Animation here.
You can talk about your reasons for your vote, but I ask that you put the full title of what you're voting for in bold letters so that it's easy for me to count them all in a hurry.
So, Survivors ready?? Come on in and vote off ONLY ONE of these movies:
Toy Story 2
Monsters, Inc.
Finding Nemo
Voting ends at 12:00 pm (EASTERN TIME) on Saturday, June 12th.
*Began the transition to 1 movie leaving per round, instead of 2.

For reasons I stated in the Round 10 thread....Finding Nemo. It's great and I don't consider it weak at all but it's the weakest of the five Pixar pictures and should have left us two rounds ago.

Ditto to Jake Lipson. I like Finding Nemo, but it should have left last round or the one before it. SUCH a shame to see Toy Story go.

Finding Nemo is a great movie, just not up to par with the other two.
On the "I can't believe Toy Story is gone" note, I really think this movie is highly overrated simply because it's the first digital Pixar flick and that special nostalgia really plays a role.
I missed out seeing TS in the theatres, and saw it for the first time on DVD (along with TS2 and Bugs) and from that perspective, it really is pretty weak compared to the newer Pixar flicks, especially its sequel.

I am with Sulley, Toy Story is the maybe the weakest of the five. Close with A Bug's Life Although, a very impressive first effort and it is definately not weak.
I certainly don't think Disney can say they put that strong a five together although the first five and Little Mermaid through Lion King are very impressive as well.

It's definitely time to lose Nemo. Don't get me wrong, it's a wonderful movie, but I enjoy the others a bit more. Plus Nemo has an unfair disadvantage in that all the hype it got really started to grate on my nerves.
"But, oh, to be free. To be my own master. Such a thing would be greater then all the magic ,and all the treasures, in all the world."
