I'm kinda surprised Disney/Pixar is still willing to work with Ellen, given her being in the epstien files and the whole links to alleged cannibalism thing going around.

Disney and Pixar announced the title of the upcoming animated short Loving Dory, set in the world of Finding Nemo, and plot details were revealed for the first time by director Lou Hamou-Lhadj and producer Mary Alice Drumm. In the new short, Dory confuses a plastic bag for a gentle jellyfish and is moved by its curious nature. She falls head-over-fins in love, but it doesn’t take long for her new romantic entanglement to escalate from a little clingy to outright toxic — and in desperate need of intervention.

I'm much more keen on something like this than a whole new movie. But then, we just know that this is their way of nurturing interest in Finding Nemo 3.

I haven't followed that story so much. I would have guessed that she still had a stain on her from all that came out about how toxic her workplace was. But then, it's hard to say what Disney is or isn't above these days.

I don't think most people care about the Ellen "toxic" stories, that was mostly orchestrated baloney, imo. As for the stuff Kyle mentioned though, I hadn't heard anything regarding it and I'd say a lot of celebs are namedropped in the Epstein files, that doesn't mean they were a part of the seedier aspects of his life. But her being talked about as if she's a cannibal ped sounds familiar, they've said that about a lot of people like Oprah, etc. It's always targets of a particular crowd. I haven't read into Ellen's namedrop specifically, I'll just leave it at I find that hard to believe.

Ellen, Will Smith, and Johnny Depp are the attempted cancellations they'd have the least problem with working with. Smith was the only one who genuinely did something wrong, but even that, I'd say most average people were over about a year later. For what it's worth, FN is one of the few PIXAR properties I actually wouldn't mind seeing more of considering I surprisingly loved the second one. That said, I imagine a third film would probably be more about Marlin and Nemo again, and I find both characters slightly annoying. If they made the third one about Hank on the other hand, that would be something I'd anticipate much more.
