Animated Classics SURVIVOR - Round 15

Post by AwallaceUNC »

Last round, the vote was among the closest we've had! Peter Pan was 2 votes from a tie, and 30 votes were spread out between SEVEN of the 10 options!!

So far, the films voted off are..
Round 1 - The Three Cabelleros, The Aristocats, Oliver & Company, The Adventures of Ichabod & Mr. Toad
Round 2 - Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Saludos Amigos, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Treasure Planet
Round 3 - Make Mine Music, The Black Cauldron, The Great Mouse Detective, Hercules
Round 4 - Melody Time, The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh, The Sword In The Stone, The Rescuers Down Under
Round 5 - Fun & Fancy Free, Robin Hood*
Round 6 - The Rescuers, The Fox and the Hound
Round 7 - Fantasia 2000, Mulan
Round 8 - Dumbo, Pocahontas
Round 9 - The Emperor's New Groove, Lilo & Stitch
Round 10 - Brother Bear, Fantasia
Round 11 - Tarzan, Bambi
Round 12 - Alice In Wonderland, 101 Dalmatians
Round 13 - The Jungle Book**
Round 14 - Lady and the Tramp

Recap:

It works just like the Survivor TV show. Basically, come on here once every 2 days and vote for the Disney Animated Classic (see the list http://www.ultimatedisney.com/ultimateclassics.htm ) that you want to vote off, i.e., the one that you like the least! At the end of the 2 days, I'll come on here and announce who got voted off, and a new thread will start for the 16th round. This gets to be a lot of fun, especially when it gets down to the wire.

The ONE movie that receives the most votes will be kicked off each week, UNTIL we are down to the final 2 (not the final 5, as originally posted), then it will change up some!

We are into the final 11 now!! Therefore, only one movie will be voted off each round!!!

So, Survivors ready?? Come on in and vote off ONLY ONE of these remaining movies:

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Pinocchio
Cinderella
Peter Pan
Sleeping Beauty
The Little Mermaid
Beauty and the Beast
Aladdin
The Lion King

Reminder: Please post your vote alone in bold, as this makes it easier for me.

Voting ends at midnight (EASTERN TIME) on Thursday, April 29th.

*Round 5 marked the transition from voting off 4 movies per every 3 days to voting off 2 movies per every 2 days.
**Round 13 marked the beginning of the final 11, in which the transition was made from voting off 2 movies per every 2 days to only 1 movie per every 2 days.

I wouldn't have put off Lady and the Tramp quite yet, but it definitely doesn't compare with a lot of the ones left, so it's an honor to have made it to the top 10, and I do think it deserved it.

My vote is once again most definitely going towards Peter Pan.

Sad to see the Tramp go... :(

Again, my vote's for Peter Pan.

Hmmm. Far too many princesses hanging around at the end.

Cinderella would be my preference to go, but Sleeping Beauty seems to be carrying the day.

Kay scratch that given recent postings Cinderella it is.

This is really painful, but . . . Cinderella.

It's such a great movie, but I love all the others a little more.

Cinderella

After this, it will be really hard to vote a movie off... All of them are among my all-time favorites.
By the way, this is not a question of old x new movies, it is a question of better x almost-as-good movies. :D

Gee, where have I seen six fairy tale movies in a top 10 list before? Oh, yeah, the Ultimate Disney official member ranking and Prince Phillips versus battle game.
