Animated Classics SURVIVOR - Round 11

Post by AwallaceUNC »

Last time we voted off 2 more movies. So far, the films voted off are..
Round 1 - The Three Cabelleros, The Aristocats, Oliver & Company, The Adventures of Ichabod & Mr. Toad
Round 2 - Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Saludos Amigos, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Treasure Planet
Round 3 - Make Mine Music, The Black Cauldron, The Great Mouse Detective, Hercules
Round 4 - Melody Time, The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh, The Sword In The Stone, The Rescuers Down Under
Round 5 - Fun & Fancy Free, Robin Hood*
Round 6 - The Rescuers, The Fox and the Hound
Round 7 - Fantasia 2000, Mulan
Round 8 - Dumbo, Pocahontas
Round 9 - The Emperor's New Groove, Lilo & Stitch
Round 10 - Brother Bear, Fantasia

Recap:

It works just like the Survivor TV show. Basically, come on here once every 2 days (we've shortened it from 3 days to 2 based on the first four rounds) and vote for the Disney Animated Classic (see the list http://www.ultimatedisney.com/ultimateclassics.htm ) that you want to vote off, i.e., the one that you like the least! At the end of the 2 days, I'll come on here and announce who got voted off, and a new thread will start for the 12th round. This gets to be a lot of fun, especially when it gets down to the wire.

The TWO movies that receive the most votes will be kicked off each week, UNTIL we are down to the final 11 and 5, then it will change up some!

Just to reiterate: Every 2 days, 2 movies will go off now. Got it? Good.

So, Survivors ready?? Come on in and vote off ONLY ONE of these remaining movies (We're down to the final 15!):

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Pinocchio
Bambi
Cinderella
Alice in Wonderland
Peter Pan
Lady and the Tramp
Sleeping Beauty
101 Dalmatians
The Jungle Book
The Little Mermaid
Beauty and the Beast
Aladdin
The Lion King
Tarzan

Reminder: Please post your vote alone in bold, as this makes it easier for me.

Voting ends at midnight (EASTERN TIME) on Wednesday, April 21st.

*Round 5 marked the transition from voting off 4 movies per every 3 days to voting off 2 movies per every 2 days.

I was disappointed in seeing Fantasia leave, though Brother Bear had certainly overstayed its welcome. Granted, I cast my final vote for Fantasia last round, but that was only out of neccessity in order to save my beloved Alice In Wonderland. So now, I vote for what I wanted to vote for last time (and the last several rounds, for that matter), Bambi. It's by far the weakest film remaining, imo.

First voter, baby!

I'm changing my vote to Tarzan. It is better than Bambi, and has been on this list TOO LONG, especially being only mediocre. BROTHER BEAR should have been voted off THIS round, and Tarzan last round.

About the Brother Bear comment Aaron... All I can say is, HARSH. TARZAN is the one the has overstayed it's welcome.

Well with Fantasia no longer around to protect I will vote early.

Tarzan. in my opinion is the worst left, although Bambi gets vote #2.

Can anybody just join this game? If so, I vote for Tarzan. If not, just ignore my vote, awallaceunc.

I think its really interested that not a single film from Disney's renassaince has gotten a vote, at least in this round.

I am sure Tangela will be around shortly with his contrarian view.

I can see four or five movies gone before I would vote for them too. It really was an awesome run of movies.
