Banks is actually the perfect choice for the role. 
First Rita Repulsa, now Ms. Frizzle, she just keeps taking on my childhood. 
Re-visioning the property into a live-action film is a strange decision to me. It's only fun when there's something different happen with every episode... I guess they’re hoping for there to be many sequels, but I just don’t picture audiences seeing this enough in theaters at high enough numbers to float a film franchise of this… Maybe for a 10-12 episode TV series adaptation on a streaming platform.

I'm a fan of the cartoon & I think that this could be cute & funny. I think that Elizabeth Banks is a great choice, too.
