Halloweentown (Remake)

Post by Sotiris »

The popular Disney film series, Halloween Town, is getting the reboot treatment we’ve been told. The likely destination will be Disney+ but that is not final. We have also heard that the Disney Channel might also land the reboot. We’ve heard that Disney will recast but there is always a possibility that former cast members make a cameo.

So sick of the remakes. This will never top the original especially without Debbie Reynolds.

Yeah, Debbie Reynolds is irreplaceable. At least remakes of DCOMs aren’t quite as inherently offensive to me as remakes of DACs.

I never really cared for any of the Halloweentown films after the first one either, and that was with Reynolds. :P So I can't be too upset with this one. Maybe they could get somebody like Jamie Lee Curtis? That's if she would even do it, considering she seems to really be in the limelight lately.

Recently I’ve been watching the Halloweentown movies (Halloweentown High is much better than I thought it was...) and it turns out these past couple weeks, Disney has uploaded animated shorts related to Halloweentown. The first one is a short remake of the original movie, and the other two are original stories. They’ve been uploaded weekly, so it wouldn’t surprise if there’s one or two more in the pipeline for the rest of October.

Oh, thanks for sharing UmbrellaFish! Those were so cute! I loved them! My favorite parts were Marnie's reactions!

Thanks for sharing those videos. They're cute! I don't think there will be any more because Disney Channel already uploaded a compilation of all three of them. They usually wait until all web episodes are out before compiling them which makes me believe this is all we get. It's a shame they didn't make at least 2-3 more.

Thank you, I saw that, too. It’s too bad— I would have liked a few more new Halloweentown stories. Maybe next year!

Yes, thanks for that Sotiris! Does anyone know what the original spooky ending to the movie was?
