Source: https://www.thewrap.com/golden-globes-t ... ransition/Now that he’s got a billion-dollar box office hit under his belt, Cooley is ready to follow it up with another Pixar film based on his own original story and characters. While he’s not divulging any details, he did say that he’s gotten started on developing his next film while assisting Docter with “Soul,” the cosmic adventure that Pixar will release next summer.

Considering the article mention Lasseter a few times, could this be the first post-Lasseter feature from Pixar (the first one greenlighted by Docter)?

Alright, cool! I did not love Toy Story 4, but I did generally admire the direction. Part of my ambivalence towards the film comes from my feelings towards the franchise and some of the story choices, so I'm hoping this will prove Cooley's true filmmaking abilities.

I won't know for sure what to expect from Cooley until I finally see Toy Story 4, but it's worth celebrating the beginning of films being greenlighted without Lasseter's influence.
