Disney Characters That Deserve a Plush
King Triton, Tamatoa, Gantu...like half the cast of Alice in Wonderland.
Anybody else have a disney character they'd love a plush of?

Re: Disney Characters That Deserve a Plush
I have a lot of Disney Villain plushes. The Queen of Hearts, Captain Hook, Maleficent, Cruella, Prince John, Sir Hiss, Professor Ratigan, Ursula, Gaston, Jafar and Scar... I love that they're mostly to scale and all fit together pretty nicely when grouped together. Ones that I wish Disney would make:
The Evil Queen
Lady Tremaine
Mad Madame Mim
Shere Khan (a more accurate one, all of the previous Shere Khans have disappointed me!)
Madame Medusa
The Horned King
The Cast of Hunchback (Quasimodo, Esmeralda, Phoebus, Frollo, Clopin, Djali & the Gargoyles)
The Cast of Hercules (Hercules, Megara, Hades, Phil, Pegasus, Pain & Panic)
Dr. Facilier
Tamatoa
The Evil Queen
Lady Tremaine
Mad Madame Mim
Shere Khan (a more accurate one, all of the previous Shere Khans have disappointed me!)

Evinrude is the dragonfly who is actually a pretty pivotal character. They don't market him much anymore (or anything from the film really) but he was more present back in the day. He even had a Disney Parks character.Disney Duster wrote:I don't know The Rescuers well enough for the top ones, but yes to the others!!!JeanGreyForever wrote:Rufus and Evinrude from The Rescuers, as well as a new one for Orville.

Rufus is Penny's cat. He was never really used outside of the film but a lot of people have a soft spot for him.

I remember the dragonfly but not the cat. I can't believe they managed to make a dragonfly a parks character! That would have to be one skinny actor!

Bernard and Bianca both got plush toys released last year. They came combined as their hands are tied together.thedisneyspirit wrote:Alice's cat, Bernard and Bianca, Hen-Wen and Gurgi...

Re: Disney Characters That Deserve a Plush
Burger King has THoND plush puppets back in the day. I know there were other plushes, too.
Pain and Panic also have at least a small and large sized plush each.
Besides the new plush, Bernard and Bianca had Disney Store "Beanie Baby"-type plushes a long time ago.
Hen-Wen and Gurgi also had those beanie Disney Store plushes (so did the red and yellow young Fairfolk), along with big (non-Beanie) plushes (there were 3; the other was King Eidilleg!).
I think the oysters are adorable, so I'd buy those if available!!
I'd totally buy a plush Horned King!

I came here just to talk about Gurgi, Disney Duster! Honestly, he's just SO cute and kinda seem like he was designed to sell toys but he's not annoyingly saying "please buy my plush" during the movie (ahem, Olaf). I'm baffled that Disney doesn't push him out more

Re: Disney Characters That Deserve a Plush
There were 2 series if you will of plushes, one with Beanies of Gurgi, Hen Wen, and the Fairfolk, then the bigger plushes of Gurgi, Hen Wen, and King Eidilleg. (They're easily found in a Google search.) I have the Beanies; I used to have the big Gurgi, too.Disney Duster wrote:Oh wow regular plushes of the fair folk! Yeah, rodrigo_ca, I like Gurgi!
Oh, thanks Amy, but why don't you have your big Gurgi anymore?! That seems like the perfect merchandise for you other than replicas of the sword and Black Cauldron itself would be!

When I moved in 2011, I only could bring what could fit in my car, so I had to donate everything else...I couldn't fit a single other thing in the car. (And I had my dog so I couldn't fill the front seat.)Disney Duster wrote:

Aww, that sucks so bad Amy! But you had to do what you had to do.

A lot of the ones you mentioned already have a plush or at least had one released in the last year or so.Rose Dome wrote:Dinah and the white Rabbit would be sweet as plushies

Oliver was released last year for Oliver & Company's 30th Anniversary. It doesn't seem likely he'll be released again anytime soon since so many Oliver plushes were being sold at discount prices which is how I picked mine up. Bruno tends to only be available when they're heavily promoting Cinderella. Gus isn't available all the time but he tends to come in and out of the store and the same is true for the White Rabbit. I own Gus and the White Rabbit myself but missed out on Bruno (and Lucifer for that matter).
Bernard and Bianca were available about a year or two ago. Max is currently available right now alongside Percy at the Disney Store so it would be a good idea to pick him up now since he tends to only be available whenever they're heavily promoting The Little Mermaid which probably won't be until the remake after this. Pua tends to be around all the time in stores from what I've seen so he should be readily available.

Re: Disney Characters That Deserve a Plush
Can you post pictures? I have a size accurate Jafar (my favorite Disney Villain). I'm not into plush toys but not only it was Jafar but it was on discount. I believe he should have sold for $20.00 but got him for $8.00.ProfessorRatigan wrote:I have a lot of Disney Villain plushes. I gave and idea that, in order for all the movies to be relevant/popular I'd dedicate a section of the stores (online presence too) to each one where you'd find merch for them for, let's say 3 months. That way 4 movies would be celebrated/relevant 4 times per year.
So, The Rescuers (January till March) ; Hercules (April-June) ; Robin Hood (July- September) ; Hunchback of Notre Dame (October-December).
More so, when all movies were celebrated and it came the time to repeat titles they'd get new merchandise alongside previously available one.
Also, just because that year Rescuers, Hercules, Robin Hood and Hunchback had their chance doesn't mean they'd all be celebrated again. Let's say it would be Pocahontas, The Great Mouse Detective, Hercules and Treasure Planet. So it wouldn't be the same tittles X year.
