Bojack Horseman

Post by HarryCanyon »

Excellent adult animated show that is like Regular Show meets Duckman and Californiacation and has great writing, relatable characters and a neat idea of humans co existing with anthros and a celebrity from the 80s and 90s being washed up to find happiness.

Uh, OK ...

You know you could always just say that you really like the show and would like to discuss it with us intellectuals. You sound like the creator desperately pitching the concept to a boardroom full of evil executives. :) :P

Bojack Horseman is a great show. Imaginative, perceptive, insightful, thought-provoking, melancholic. I highly recommend it.

I hope I didn't sound like I was lashing out at the show. I've never watched it, so I can't judge. I just remember it being announced along with a trailer on Cartoon Brew a few years back. I believe the comment section wasn't too kind that day (is it ever? lol).

The first season is pretty weak, but by Season 2, it's pretty much everything that Sotiris described. Much like Rick & Morty, what makes Bojack work is how it subverts the typical adult animation tropes and goes to darker, more mature themes without feeling forced.
