Whatever happened to Rescue Rangers Volume 3

Post by JTurner »

I recently started watching RESCUE RANGERS episodes again for the first time in years and I had forgotten how delightful this show truly is. Fast-paced, funny, entertaining, and full of heart. It irks me that we haven't even SEEN Volume 3 with the remaining episodes. What happened?

Ask Disney. They're always neglecting to finish releasing any Disney Afternoon shows on DVD that aren't Gargoyles or TaleSpin and just leave us without their remaining episodes.

As the theme song might say, they really need to start "picking up the slack".

If it's any consolation Disney released the Disney Movie Club exclusive releases of selected Disney Afternoon shows through retail in January. Just hope Disney plans to follow that up next year.

That WAS awesome. I guess I had hoped we'd get a confirmation about the continuation later this year.

What puzzles me is ...wasn't "DuckTales" and "Darkwing Duck" a lot more popular than "Gargoyles"? I don't get their mind of thinking when it comes to releases.

In their hey day, sure. But neither show, nor any of Disney's other series, can compete to the cult following Gargoyles has.

And that's a shame, cause even though Gargoyles is one of the best cartoon shows ever made, there was a lot more to the Disney Afternoon than the dark, brooding adventures of Goliath and his clan. It was the whole variety of different style cartoons and colorful characters that made the block so appealing in the first place.
