Would the Disney princesses even get along?
Would the Disney princesses even get along?
So the princesses are all forced to be around each other all the time but do you think they would all actually get along with each other? Looking at how they appear in their respective films I could see some drama going down. Who would be friends? Who would be enemies? Who would be the biggest diva? Who would be Miss Congeniality?
Re: Would the Disney princesses even get along?
I could see Ariel and Rapunzel becoming fast friends.

Merida would hate all of them.

I think the Pocket Princess series answers a lot of those questions

Re: Would the Disney princesses even get along?
I have my own little interpretation of that that I've played around with in my imagination, and it goes something like this:
The classic 2D princesses would all be self-aware that the 3D ones threaten their right to exist, and so they engage in a war for survival by fighting their CG enemies that want to wipe them out.
I'm still toying with the idea of wanting to make it a series of drawings on DeviantART (like Ariel choking Rapunzel with her own hair while underwater), cause I'd really like to vent out my hate for CG Disney movies in a way other than ranting about it (and to show that I can have a sense of humor about the things I hate
).

What would happen if the princesses got together? The same thing that happens when any group of women get together.

Re: Would the Disney princesses even get along?
I think most of them would get along. Even Tiana, who's nothing like the others, is friends with someone like Charlotte. Except Merida, yeah.
I guess I could see Belle and Jasmine sneering at a few of them. Snow and Cinderella could teach Ariel about brooms and mops.

Re: Would the Disney princesses even get along?
Did anyone think of this when they saw the topic title?

In any case, I could imagine they'd all get along pretty well, as they're all such good, kind, friendly characters for the most part. Mulan would probably feel like she doesn't fit in with such graceful feminine characters, Elsa might feel shy/anxious at first, and Merida would probably sneak out of a tea party and ride off on her horse realising that they're all interested in glitz and boys (and also when she realises she's a Pixar character).
EDIT: fixed YouTube link.

I've tried to avoid getting into as many 2D vs 3D scrapes as possible (for various reasons, but mostly down to time and effort), but I have to say that this comes across as a bit paranoid and unfunny. I don't think the long-established 2D princess characters are really threatened by the rise of computer animation.2Disney4Ever wrote:I have my own little interpretation of that that I've played around with in my imagination, and it goes something like this:

Re: Would the Disney princesses even get along?
nothing would happen sillies! Disney has some bizarro rule that the princesses cant interact with each other even when they occupy the same space. Though oddly they can interact with Sophia the First.
All kidding aside, Id rather see them interact with the non-disney princess like Megara, Esmeralda and Jane. Now that would be interesting.

Oh, of course we know that. It's definitely for the best they don't really interact in the first place since they come from different eras and have different national origins.unprincess wrote:nothing would happen sillies! Re: Would the Disney princesses even get along?
Haha, great question!
I have the feeling Walt's Princesses would've gotten along well. Mostly because they're similar, sweet and not as feminists as the others. Though I guess Cinderella would've learned her peers some spunk.
Otherwise, I think Belle, Pocahontas and Mulan would've gotten along. Because all three are proactive, independent, intelligent, but reasonable and always wants to do the right thing. I think Tiana would've gotten along with her newer peers, along with the three former, because of the previously mentioned reason. I guess Belle, Pocahontas and Tiana would've given lections to their peers about independence, loyalty and strenght. Mulan, Jasmine and Elsa would've gotten along well, because I consider them to be subdued heroines (though Mulan is more endearing and plucky). Merida and Ariel would've been best friends, because they're both rebellious and fiery, alongside with Jasmine, since she rebels against her father anyway. I think Anna would've gotten along with everyone, since she's that kind of person. The same with Rapunzel, though I think she could've clashed with Ariel (while some have thought of them as similar and I can see it, I find Rapunzel to be more loyal and caring than Ariel).
I think Esmeralda and Kida would've been best friends. They're both fiery and vivacious. Kida would have gotten along with Pocahontas as well, because they have similar values and perhaps also Belle, Anna and Jane, because of their perky nature. Megara would've definitively detested Walt's Princesses and frankly, I can't see her getting along with the bunch. Perhaps she could have gotten along with Jasmine or Esmeralda, since they're sardonic at times. But never befriending them. Jane could've gotten along with Belle, Tiana, Anna and Rapunzel, because Jane is perky and optimistic, as they are.

Agreed. Alongside with Kida, since she's an actual Princess. All kidding aside, Id rather see them interact with the non-disney princess like Megara, Esmeralda and Jane. Now that would be interesting.

You know, I'd like to think of them as the Pocket Princesses page portrays them, all living under the same roof, getting along just fine, having usual lives.

Re: Would the Disney princesses even get along?
Snow White would love and get along with everyone. Probably so would Aurora and Ariel. Cinderella would try to be kind and loving to everyone and see the good in them but maybe sometimes secretly hate or make fun of some of them. Belle and Jasmine would get annoyed at or hate the less proactive princesses, but Belle would try to see the goodness in them, too. Rapunzel would love everyone. Merida would get annoyed at or hate all of them except Jasmine, or maybe also the proactive ones. Anna would love everyone. Elsa would get along maturely with everyone but not love them all, just the more sensible princesses and the ones who did things on their own.
Did you mean submissive? If you did, that's wrong, too. And the other princesses aren't necessarily more intelligent than them.DisneyFan09 wrote:I have the feeling Walt's Princesses would've gotten along well. Mostly because they're similar, sweet and dismissive.

Yea but they aren't submissive, they just sometimes do things they don't want to when they are forced to.

Okay, fine. I've corrected it.
