Leonard Nimoy (1931-2015)

Leonard Nimoy, the sonorous, gaunt-faced actor who won a worshipful global following as Mr. Spock, the resolutely logical human-alien first officer of the Starship Enterprise in the television and movie juggernaut “Star Trek,” died on Friday morning at his home in the Bel Air section of Los Angeles. He was 83.

His wife, Susan Bay Nimoy, confirmed his death, saying the cause was end-stage chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Mr. Nimoy announced last year that he had the disease, which he attributed to years of smoking, a habit he had given up three decades earlier. He had been hospitalized earlier in the week.
Rest in peace. :(

I was privileged to meet Mr. Nimoy on the set of "Star Trek IV: The Voyage home". He was very pleasant to talk with and all of us who sat at his table learned a lot about his life, he likes, and dislikes. He will be missed.

R.I.P.: Leonard Nimoy

This was sad news and unexpected. He seemed like he would go on forever.

Quite upset there is no hope for him being in Kingdom Hearts 3 now, especially when he did a great job voice acting in Birth by Sleep. I was looking forward to him returning to the series.
Settling Soul mates? That is grim. And I've played Monopoly alone.

I agree, it's unfortunate. Especially considering KH3 would be the last game featuring the character (as far as we know), and will center around that character so greatly. From what I read, the Japanese writer of the games asked Leonard Nimoy to play the character himself.

What's strange is the character's Japanese voice actor--also greatly revered like Nimoy--passed away just recently, too. Rest in peace, for the both of them.
