By the end of the year, it will be released for the whole world on DVD, Blu-ray, and some kind of online version or digital download. But you can see it early, if it's playing in a theater near you.
It's been full-time work to go through the process of renting all these theaters one-at-a-time, but it's worth it, to have it seen by a crowd of live audiences, the way movies were always meant to be.
The first U.S. screening dates have been announced and are on sale now.
I've been watching his videos since late 2007 (I also enjoy the other videos he posts as well). I am a little disappointed he's not screening it anywhere in Michigan but that would just delay the release of the DVD further and further back. I am also glad he's using little to no CGI and it'll be interesting to see how it turns out.
He enjoyed it as a whole, and said the plot was well crafted.
I loved his point on models vs. CG. I agree that most movies nowadays are too dependent of CG effects and no longer even attempt to use "real" effects such as models, claymation, etc. James Rolfe is a very big movie buff, so I am glad to see him incorporate such tools.
