I'd guess it will still be November-ish to capitalize on the holiday season.

Yeah, according to Peter Jackson, the standard DVD comes out in May, but the EE comes out in November as usual. This is going to be very interesting as Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban supposedly is due out in November, as well.

There are rumblings that the EE will street as early as September.
Not sure what to believe...I'll count on November (as usual) and consider it a pleasant surprise if it arrives in Spetember.

DavisDVD posted some artwork from an ad the other day.

The release for the EE says: "Holiday 2004" whatever that means.

Hopefully it will come out in August since the 2-disc one is comming out in May. On the EE of Two Towers Jackson said they release schedule was the way it was in order to keep people interested in the movies throughout the entire year. Maybe since there will not be another movie the release will be sonner.

Plus, I imagine he is wanting to get on board the King Kong train soon, so he will want to have the Rings trilogy completely done as soon as possible.

There's nothing to worry about...no super-duper deluxe EEE wrapped in Elvish Armor will be released anytime soon.
