From New Jersey to Maine, shoppers crowded into supermarkets and hardware stores to buy food, snow shovels, flashlights as well as generators — something that became a precious commodity after Superstorm Sandy in October. Others gassed up their cars, another lesson learned all too well after Sandy. Across much of New England, schools closed well ahead of the first snowflakes.

My Mom and I were suppose to go to Portland (1 1/2 drive) today to see "Disney on Ice" (my birthday present from Mom) but we were able to get renewed tickets for a showing on Sunday. It's been snowing for thirteen hours without let up here and we have 6-7 inches of snow so far in my neck of the woods.
I'll bring a snowball to "Disney on Ice" to chuck at Nemo when he appears. (I won't!)
