Blu Ray + Digital Copy. NO combo pack???
15 gallon 7 pint blood donor as of 1-4-11. Done donating. Apparently having Cancer makes you kind of ineligible to donate.

I had forgotten about the Muppet Christmas Carol being the same way except that Amazon had an exclusive combo pack with dvd included (which was where I bought mine). I'm hoping SOMEBODY (Best Buy, Target, Amazon etc...) will do the same with this release.

"This summer, Walt Disney Home Entertainment is bringing director James Frawley's The Muppet Movie to Blu-ray in a special Nearly 35th Anniversary Edition BD/Digital Copy combo pack. The original Muppets feature film stars Kermit and the Gang, Austin Pendleton, Charles Durning, Mel Brooks and Dom DeLuise, and streets on August 13th.
Synopsis: Celebrate the Nearly 35th Anniversary of the ultimate frogs-to-riches story with the one that started it all: The Muppet Movie. From the very first "plunk!" of Kermit's banjo playing "The Rainbow Connection" (Oscar nominee, Best Original Song, 1979), to the hysterical road trip that brings the fearless frog together with Fozzie, Gonzo, Animal and most importantly of all, Miss Piggy, join the jam-packed heartwarming hilarity, outrageous antics and big-shot Hollywood cameos, including Steve Martin, Richard Pryor, Milton Berle, Bob Hope, Orson Welles, James Coburn, Elliott Gould, Edgar Bergen, Carol Kane, Charlie McCarthy, Madeline Kahn, Cloris Leachman and Telly Savalas.
Complete tech specs have yet to be revealed. Special features include:
All-New Frog-E-Oke Sing-Along
Kermit: A Frog's Life
And more!"
I really hope that the full list of extras will contain things worthwhile (including the Jim Frawley Camera Test from the Sony DVD).

In Muppet Movie related news, Paul Williams has tweeted the soundtrack will be re-released Fall 2013!:

Is something like this that makes me wish the soundtrack to Who Framed Roger Rabbit got re-released also.

DigitalBits review (includes mention that the trailer for Mary Poppins: 50th AE is included!!!!):

Also, for those wondering I asked at the Blu-ray.com forums if the original Associated Film Distribution logo played before the movie. A member who got the Blu early confirmed it doesn't (unfortunately), no logos before the movie at all.

Re: The Muppet Movie on Blu-ray confirmed!!
Some good news about the DVD re-release; I got it at Target today and can confirm it's the new transfer!!!! So you can throw away your 2005 DVD release.
