Post by ajmrowland »

whenever I put a DVD into my Blu ray player that has been in there before automatically starts playback the movie or TV show which is annoying if I want to watch another episode. I've tried looking at the settings but there's nothing there that would help me its an LG and also my ps3. please help?

Have you tried pressing stop twice on the LG when it happens. Often when you press stop with some players, it will go into a standby playback mode and if you press stop again it clears that mode, so that next time it starts from the beginning. Although, I guess you want a permanent solution. It's a shame there's no option in the settings to turn "resume playback" off.

As for the PS3, have you tried selecting the options when you have the disc selected and I think there is a "Play" and "Start from the beginning" or something like that. But I'm guessing that is not a solution you wanted either?

Other than that, when the disc starts playing you could hit the menu navigation button on the remote, to take you the main menu and then you can select "Episodes" or whatever.

Anyway, I hope this helps in some way.

Yeah I could do that. But a permanent solution would be nice. it's just 1 more thing to remember and if I take set disc out that mode should be cleared automatically. sometimes I'm just transferring it to another player.

But thanks anyway. I actually forgot I could do that since it's been so long since ve had to
