Michael Clarke Duncan, the hulking, prolific character actor whose dozens of films included an Oscar-nominated performance as a death row inmate in "The Green Mile" and such other box office hits as "Armageddon," ''Planet of the Apes" and "Kung Fu Panda," is dead at age 54.

Clarke died Monday morning at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he was being treated for a heart attack, said his fiancée, Reverend Omarosa Manigault, in a statement released by publicist Joy Fehily.

He was a very charismatic actor. Way too young to die.

More weird deaths from celebrities keep on going. As a matter of fact, I liked that guy!

Rest in peace, my friend. :(

Another death that comes out of nowhere (how many of these have we had this year?).

Anyway, I do feel bad for his family.

Sad, sad news for sure. I remember Michael Clarke Duncan most from "The Green Mile" and "Daredevil". He was also in my favorite television show last season "The Finder". I know that they have almost half of season two done when Mr. Duncan had his heart attack, so I wonder if we will only get a half season, or they will write him out in some way. Can't think of anyone else who could bring the same smartness to a television show.

R.I.P.: Michael Clarke Duncan
