Danger Bay (1980's show on the Disney Channel)

Post by milojthatch »

Anyone here remember the 1980's show "Danger Bay" that aired on the Disney Channel? It wasn't technically a Disney show, but due to it's airing on the DC, I feel it is appropriate to post it in the "Disney" section.

Anyway, just wondering if anyone remembers the show?

Here is also a link to the official Facebook age:

I loved watching Danger Bay, and my family used to watch it all the time on the "original Disney Channel"...back when they showed great series, movies, and specials. Remembering Danger Bay reminds me of when the Disney Channel started to transition into what it has become, and it makes me sad and nostalgic for how good it used to be. I don't remember a lot of details about the episodes of Danger Bay, but I remember I always liked the adventure and suspense, and I related well to Nicole and Jonah because I think they were about the same ages as my sister and I.

I really loved watching this series.

We have a couple of promo photos from this show posted on our photos page. These were sent out by the Disney Channel to help promote the show.

Does anyone remember another show, called The Edison Twins, that also aired on the Disney Channel when Danger Bay was on. Amazon has all of the Edison Twins episodes available for streaming/downloading. Maybe Danger Bay will be the next one they offer in this fashion.

To answer the question, yes, I remember The Edison Twins being on. I thik it was shown along with Danger bay in the lineup, but I don't remember much about it. I must have liked Danger Bay more because I remember following that series.

That is the hope, or maybe even DVD-on-Demand!

Open Vault Disney is looking for fans of the show 'Danger Bay." If you like the show and want to see it on DVD (and are on Facebook), we are asking right now that you show some support by visiting the official Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Danger-B ... 5710934891) and then "like" it. Then, please post on there how you'd like to see the show on DVD. With enough support, it might just happen.

Please share this with others. Thanks.

That series is not Disney, so who are you going to lobby for a release of it? :?

You are right, technically, it is not. However, it was for most of it's run on the Disney Channel, and outside of Disney fan boys (like myself), I'd wager most who watched the DC in the 80's think it is Disney. In fact, I've already this whole time had questions about the show and wondering when Disney was going to put it out. Based on various current events, I feel this show is worth going after at this time. That is not to say I'm not still going after titles actually owned by Disney, in fact those efforts will only increase, but I see an opportunity to pull off something special here and I'm going for it. Hopefully, not alone.

As I said, if you are a fan of the show and on Facebook, please "like" the official page and ask for a DVD release. I am probing for how deep this fan base is, an I'm guessing deeper then the Facebook page would indicate.
