For those who couldn't own or afford the new Lion King Trilogy set, now's your chance to own the DTV sequels individually on March 6th.:

Lazario, you seem to have forgotten that this is a Disney FAN forum, not a film critics forum. Why would anyone here want these movies? Because they're Disney, and they're animated. That's all it takes for many fans, regardless of how horrible the movie is. I know I myself would like to own them, even if only to watch them once.

These 2 cheapquels are among the best made IMO, so I'm kind of excited to see them come individually on blu. I can understand a lot of people's resentment towards the sequels, but not all of them are a complete travesty. Of course, I'm also not one of those people who think they have tarnished their original films. If anything, it's the franchises that've done that with their constant pushing of every film with a princess in it is a girly film nonsense. The sequels seem pretty easily forgettable among the general public.
Any word on extra's? Will none of the previous extra;'s be ported over?singerguy04 wrote:These 2 cheapquels are among the best made IMO, so I'm kind of excited to see them come individually on blu. Really wish they could have included this theatrical short:

love that short. it was on one of the DTV dining out/around the world with timon and pumbaa vhs's way back when. one had this, another had the lion sleeps tonight and another had "yummy yummy bugs in my tummy".
personally i love both lion king sequels. kovu and vitani are two of my favourite disney characters. im glad they are getting their own blu releases outside of the trilogy set. i bought that set when it was cheap on amazon specifically for the box and drum. the discs have been moved to an 8 disc case and the box is tucked away for safe keeping.

I wasn't keen on seeing the third film either, but when I saw some more previews for the movie, it actually looked appealing, so I gave it a shot. And I really enjoyed the movie. Its funny, clever and entertaining. So I'll recommmend you to give it a shot.PixarFan2006 wrote:Even when I first saw The Lion King 2 on video as a kid (as a rental), I found it "eh". It just never held my interest at all (like the other cheapquels). I avoided Lion King 1 1/2 like the plague and will always continue to.
