Wow! I guess it'll be good to see these in theaters again. This also confirms Little Mermaid's DE release in Fall 2013!!!

I actually guessed The Little Mermaid would come out September 2013, way before Disney announced it. And I was shocked to see I was right.

Shame Aladdin isn't on the slate for next year.

Woah. Wasn't really expecting TLM since it's neither CAPS nor CG, but it makes sense since it's already one of the few that got a theatrical re-release. And with what can be done with computers these days, I imagine it can't be too difficult to digitally separate the elements in order to prep it for 3D. Regardless, I'm pretty excited I'll be able to see it on the big screen again. :)

OMG! I'm so excited. I never got to see The Little Mermaid in theaters. I'm gonna see this thing around 12 times, I know.

I'll probably see Beauty 2 or 3 times, too. :D

I am definitely seeing The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast (my second and third favorite DACs, respectively) in theaters. I saw Finding Nemo back when it was released and I don't care to see Monsters, Inc. in theaters. But I am most definitely seeing TLM and BatB in theaters without a doubt. I'm really excited to see those!

I will most certainly see them all when they come out (I dislike 3-D, but I've only seen two of those on the silver screen).

Darn, I guess that means that we probably won't see Finding Nemo on Blu-ray until around this time next year. :(

Nice. I'll be seeing them all.

What ever happened to Ratatouille? It was revealed that was being converted a while back. I guess that's being put on the back burner?

I wish these were coming sooner, I don't even want to think about 2013 right now, its so far away.

I guess this could be why Finding Nemo keeps getting delayed, they probably kept going back and forth on weather or not they wanted to do a simultaneous theatrical,BD and 3D BD release like the Lion King.

I'm so glad The Little Mermaid is getting a re-release. Loved that movie since I was a kid, and I'll finally get a chance to see it on the big screen.

The best Pixar movies and the strongest Renaissance films are stronger than TLM, but TLM is my personal favorite. And if Disney continues the route of having a single 2D show during the first two weeks with the next three re-releases, I'll definitely see that one and the 3D.

I have mixed feelings about this.

I think it’s great and I’ll defiently check them out! I really like the quote and I agree with it:
“Great characters and great stories are timeless, and at Disney we’re fortunate to have a treasure trove of both,” Disney President Alan Bergman said in a news release. You know what else is timeless? Generating additional revenue from existing motion pictures.
But, at the same time:
1) It’s so pointless. The 3D in The Lion King, Tangled, and Toy Story 3 hardly did anything. The only highlights of 3D in Disney pretty much are Zazu in Circle of Life (That was AMAZING!) and I See the Light and the scene where Rapunzel and Flynn were drowning. It’s just stupid.
2) WHY DOES EVERYTHING HAVE TO BE IN 3D?!?!
3) It seems/sounds like Disney is having 0 ideas right now (Yes, they have a few movies in the works, but still!), so they’re desperate enough to make everything in 3D.
4) Money $$
5) WASTE OF TIME, TALENT, AND $$$

Yeah, I completely understand Beauty and the Beast since this has been in the works for some quite time and Monster’s Inc. b/c of the sequel, but still Disney, c’mon.

I will definitely see Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid (albeit, in 2-D. Wasn't a fan of Lion King's 3-D). We'll see about the other two, but Finding Nemo probably will look amazing in 3-D.

I was expecting Aladdin to be one of them, guess not. Not sure if I'd care to see any of these, 3-D or 2-D.

You know, I am all for re-releasing the classics into theaters, but why do we need to release every single one of them in 3D? From what I experienced seeing a 3D movie twice this year (Cars 2 and Thor, both which I did not even WANT to see in 3D), it does not really add anything to the movie, it makes the film look darker and it is freaking expensive. I also hate wearing those bulky glasses (especially if you already have to wear them over eyeglasses).

I have no experience with 3D in theaters, but can't you just take the glasses off and watch the film like normal? :?

I imagine the 3D might make some of the explosion/underwater scenes in Mermaid to have a unique vibe. Bubbles flying around, Ursula's cauldron clouds, the blasts of lightning, etc.
