Personally, I think Hercules and Megara are the best animated couple from Disney. Lady and the Tramp, and Pocahontas and John Smith are up there, too, imo. Most of their couples are boring though, tbh.

Listening to most often lately:
Taylor Swift ~ "Elizabeth Taylor"
Katy Perry ~ "bandaid"
Meghan Trainor ~ "Still Don't Care"
Bernard and Bianca, of course. I like how they start out as just colleagues, then grow a friendship and then start to love each other. My favorite moment in the movie is that little, subtle moment when they're flying through the night on Orville's back, and she dozes off against him and he slowly puts his arm around her. Aaaaawwww!

Aurora and Phillip: Best looking couple.
Lady and the Tramp: A cliche now, but well done (I also like how they're not above having pre-marital sex
).
Bernard and Bianca: Best for develoment. I was going to say LatT for this, but their relationship seems more subtle, largely because it's not featured in the title.
Flynn and Rapunzel: Just so cute.
Aladdin and Jasmine: Second best for looks.

Aladdin and Jasmine. They're intrinsic similarities were visible from the moment they met, and they both risked their lives for each other, learned to forgive each other for lying to each other about their identities, and accepted each other for who they truly were.
Second best, a tie between Flynn and Rapunzel, and Hercules and Meg. Both risked their lives for each other. But they are both total opposites.

Belle and The Beast are my favorite Disney couple. They have some great development
My honourable mentions would be Lady and Tramp (so sweet), Duchess and O'Malley (their rooftop scene makes me swoon), and Bernard and Bianca (so cute) I'm not really keen on most of the human couples. I might like the individual characters, but the romance tends to be dull.

Yeah, that's another one. I think they have a nice chemistry, partly because they are both mature unlike most of the young couples.Disney Geek wrote:Duchess and O'Malley (their rooftop scene makes me swoon)
I feel the same way. I think part of the reason is that Disney too often falls back on the "opposites attract" idea. Even the ones I've mentioned are pretty much the same way (Hercules is naive, Megara is worldy and cynical; Lady and the Tramp, the same; and so on). And you're also right about the individual characters thing. Characters like Jasmine, Eric, Shang, Flynn, etc. just don't live up to the characters they're paired with.I'm not really keen on most of the human couples. Hercules and Megara
I just loved them and I just loved the development of Meg throughout the movie.

Agreed. But could somebody explain to me what was so good about Aurora and Philip? They met, they danced, she goes to sleep, he kisses her, she wakes, they marry... WTF?! They are cardboard cut-outs. They have no personality. She is just there to be saved. He is just there to be a hero. Where is the character development, where is the realtionship? I don't see it.Miss Jo wrote:I like Roger and Anita Radcliffe. I just find them so adorable.

That's often the case. Romance should always happen, even if it means creating a boring cub machine like Vixey

As in Rose and Bernard from Lost?ajmrowland wrote:Rose and Bernard are a close second
I know who you mean, though, and I agree Bernard and Bianca are pretty cute.
My favorites:
1. Belle and the Beast: you really get to know each of the characters, and more importantly they really get to know each other. Belle and the Beast's romance isn't rushed at all, and the audience can see that months pass before they fall in love. It's more mature and realistic than the fall-in-love-in-two-days-and-live-happily-ever-after kind of romance.
2. Rapunzel and Flynn: they have the best of the fall-in-love-in-two-days-and-live-happily-ever-after kind of romance.
3. Tarzan and Jane. I'm not really sure why this one works for me, but it does.
4. Duchess and O'Malley
Bernard and Bianca are probably on my list too. Must re-watch movie.
