The Milestone Thread: Not for Post Counts Anymore!

Post by Escapay »

PLEASE do not post here just for post count milestones. I created this thread over a year ago as a thread for peeps to post in when they had a certain milestone in their life, something they are particularly proud of.

Coming here just to say "Yay, 100 posts!" then "Yay, 150 posts!" then "Yay, 200 posts!" is just pointless. I personally do not care for other people's post counts, and I'm sure they don't care for mine. So please, everyone, save everyone else the trouble and NOT come here if you're just gonna post "Yay, ### posts!". Make the milestone something meaningful, not something frivolous. Make it count for something more than just a number.

(and for posterity and a bit of irony, my original first post here)

Everytime you reach a milestone, post it here.

Here's one for me:

YAY, I REACHED 50 POSTS! :D

Of course, that pales in comparison to other people, but I celebrate when I can!

I just passed 1800 the other day....does that count, or it is too wishy washy?

I may as well say 1100 or 1723 is a milestone in that case, whereas 50 has a nice ring to it.

I'll get back to y'all at 2000 (and congrats to 2099net - the first non-Luke to get up to "Platinum Edition").

Well, I drove to a different state all by myself. That's a milestone to me. I drove all night to California to meet a celebrity. I'm meeting JC Chasez today at Tower Records.

You know, it's funny, but this is about the only message board where I don't care about my post count. Probably because I have such fun posting here. :D

^^^^^^^

well hey - that's a good thing! :D

and really, if everyone thought they were wasting' bandwidth by making 50 posts a day, then no one would post. Posting images, wasting PM's, et cetera are a problem. Posting is not. It makes the place much more active. So in all, I think that more good, efficiant posting = awesome message board system.

I have to admit it is nice watching the numbers/ranking go up, but yeah - at the end of the day, I do enjoy just coming here and posting a load of crap :P

Um...I completed that stupid Disney Princess game for Gameboy Advance on my new Gameboy SP. YAYNESS! :D

Okay, I didn't complete it...the last thing I need to do is find that stupid apple in Snow White's first level.

When I started message boarding a few years ago (this was on Amy Grant MBs), I was all about the post count, and had the #1 spot within a few months. Now I don't care about it on any of the boards. I just come in and go to the last thread I haven't replied to yet and go up the list, as I see fit. But anywho, I'll be hittin 200 sometime within the next week, I believe.

Looks like you've passed 450 now.... I think that is the Strange Orange Cheese Anniversary (500 is Silver Cheese).

You know, no-one really knows.

Scholars have spent years trying to work it out, but nobody really knows.

Some suspect Loomis likes talking about cheese way more than he likes eating it, but he has been seen consuming vast quantities of cheese on various occasions in various forms.

To others, who believe as Loomis does that the word "cheese" is inherently funny, it matters not. It's all giggles.

Scientists from all over the world have been trying to crack the 'Loomis' mystery. Some even suspect that he is some sort of missing link.
He probably gets his 'craziness' from the vast quantities of chocolate, peanut butter, and cheese he consumes every day.

...But hey! That's just an article I read...It may not be true.

All articles are true.

Why else would someone write something? You can't publish outright lies
