It's always great to hear confirmation that the DMC Exclusives line is still viable. I will certainly be buying both titles.
merlinjones, it looks like your persistent positing of that terrific list of yours is paying dividends! LOL!
Hopefully, we will see DMC Exclusive releases of The Light in the Forest, The Prince and the Pauper, The Sign of Zorro, and Zorro the Avenger by the end of 2011! And, of course, I would love to see following anthology series released:
The Tales of Texas John Slaughter (the complete series of 17 episodes; starring Tom Tryon)
Daniel Boone (the complete series of 4 episodes; starring Dewey Martin)
The Nine Lives of Elfego Baca (the complete series of 10 episodes (3 episodes were released on Walt Disney Treasures: Legendary Heroes); starring Robert Loggia)
The Swamp Fox (the complete series of 8 episodes (3 episodes were released on Walt Disney Treasures: Legendary Heroes); starring Leslie Nielsen)
The Saga of Andy Burnett (the complete series of 6 episodes; starring Jerome Courtland)
The New Adventures of Davy Crockett (the complete series of 5 episodes; starring Tim Dunigan)
Gallegher (3 episodes; starring Roger Mobley); The Further Adventures of Gallegher (3 episodes); Gallegher Goes West (4 episodes); and The Mystery of Edward Sims (2 episodes)
Zorro and Son (the complete series of 5 episodes; starring Henry Darrow as Don Diego de la Vega/Zorro, Sr. and Paul Regina as Don Carlos de la Vega/Zorro, Jr.)
Thank you Disney for the forthcoming releases of Emil and the Detectives and Charley the Angel and please keep that DMC Exclusives pipeline flowing!
..And please let's not forget Annette and Tommy ("The Horsemasters" and "Escapade in Florence"!!!), Billy Mumy and Robert Culp ("Sammy the Way-Out Seal") or Kurt Russell ("Mosby's Marauders", "Secret of Boyne Castle," "Dad, Can I Borrow the Car?," and "Disneyland Showtime"!!!)
...and Ludwig Von Drake, Ranger Woodlore, Jiminy Cricket, The Magic Mirror et al ("Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color"/"Disneyland"/"Walt Disney Presents").
Those have been two major titles in my wish list! Thanks very much, Disney!

Currently listed: Ludwig Von Drake, Annette, Zorro, Star Wars, the Wicked Witch, Classic Tron, and more!
THEY HAVE BOTH OF THEM POSTED ON WEBSITE. I JUST ORDERED THEM BOTH. THEY ARE THE FIRST 2 TITLES THAT COME UP AS SOON AS YOU CLICK ON EXCLUSIVES. I DONT SEE HOW YOU COULD HAVE MISSED IT.
I did a search & nothing came up. I did find it by clicking on exclusives after your post & ordered it. Can't wait for it to ship now & see what kind of a job they did on the dvd.
15 gallon 7 pint blood donor as of 1-4-11. Done donating. Apparently having Cancer makes you kind of ineligible to donate.
Has anyone received their copies of "Emil and the Detectives" or "Charley and the Angel" yet?
It's been pretty quiet on the board and just wondering what people's thoughts were on the picture quality and overall presentation. What aspect ratio were the films presented in etc.?
I really hope the old catalog titles keep popping up as DMC exclusives!!
Received both discs today and both are in full screen - disappointing but not really a surprise.
Charley And The Angel looks like another VHS transfer with dust and artifacts - but Emil looks great - bright colors and a clean picture. But the best part is the Emil disc restores the animated opening credits that had been replaced on previously released versions with the WWoD title card and credits. So I'm guessing a bit more work went into this release.
