Rest assured that whenever cover art specs are made available you will see them prominantly displayed on the site's home page. My guess is, since this is an October release, we may still be a couple months away from anything final.

Then again, I've been wrong before.

Once.

And it was a loooooong time ago 8)

What is Dinsey? I've never heard of that before. Just kidding. Anyways, I think the next SE should be Cinderella.

The Little Mermaid definitely! It's such a great movie...

I also would like to The Rescuers as an SE, but, you know...I could only vote for one!

According to Disney UK, Bambi is the first half of 2005 release. But that could all change of course...

I voted for Cinderella, because with the current success of the Disney Princess campaign, they would be mad not to get all the "Princess" DVDs out as soon as possible.

I went with Little Mermaid, b/c it's what I want the most, and it makes sense for Mermaid to follow BATB, TLK, and Aladdin. But Cinderella's anniversary will be in February, so that makes sense as well. Either way, these need to be the two platinum releases for '05.

Why are Robin Hood, Rescuers, and Mouse Detective on here? They aren't going to be Platinum titles.

I've said this about a thousand times but I would only pick those movies that have yet to be released on DVD thus far. Why? Because those films aren't available to ANYONE (as far as the common public) right now on the true Disney DVD format. All of the films other than Cinderella and Bambi have been previously released so it really makes sense logically and in all fairness to release those films sooner rather than re-releasing the ones that were previously-available on DVD. I voted for Cinderella. My second choice would be Bambi. Obviously. However, I prefer the Little Mermaid and Lady and the Tramp to Bambi BUT since it has yet to be released, I would hope that it comes out sooner.

Next Platinum

Post by wwwjim »

I vote for Bambi -- like others have said, I firmly believe that the next Platinum Release should be one that has not yet been released to DVD in any form.

Even though I personally like Little Mermaid, I think it's only fair that Bambi and Cinderella have their turn first.
