I'm Engaged 2 1 2012

Post by Mason_Ireton »

After 3 yrs of communicating and finaly visiting her last month along with proposing to her, I'm pleased to announce that I'm happily engaged to Mrs. Nikki Marie Quigley Ireton.

We met late Summer 2008 during our term in the Disney College program in FL. Everytime one of us went to work we'd see each other at the bus stop waiting for our respective bus. Kept in contact thru text here/there and met in passing again at the various events in the college program.

The 2nd year we lost contact due to our normal lives get'tin hetic and such. Soon we unexpectedly lost contact with other. But recently we came in contact thru a friend/co worker of ours who lives in AZ.

Things just automaticly clicked, we picked up our friendship where we accidently lost it and just strolled into a steady relationship.

Nikki's a Disney Nut, takes a few summer trips to DisneyLand, her fav. character is Stitch/Simba, fav Disney song is One Upon A Dream.

I proposed to her at the local Disney Store in her hometown, everythin went smooth, placed the ring on a Simba plush's tail and she heard me speak of my feelings towards her and how far we came in the past 3 yrs. Apparently she had no idea that Simba had the ring until she felt his tail *hehe* as soon she found the ring I proposed to her and she said Yes.

We set the date for Feb. 1 2012 at a local park near my vacation home.

Sorry Lazario??? and thanks for the support, we greatly appricate it.

The reason why we're shootin for a June timeline is cause her schedule will be mildly calm by that time and we get to take a 8 week marraige class thru her church.

I appricate the support, just told our folks today and both parents supports us.

Well my folks were a bit skeptical cause even though we've known each other for 3 yrs, it's been 3 months since we dated (ya know) and I agree with 'em but things just clicked. my finace's mother somewhat agreed with my parents yet advised us to take it slow for the time being, considering this is her daughter's 2nd engagment (the 1st guy lied bout his faith and had religon issue)

Congrats! I've been married over a year now, and while there are some hard moments, I wouldn't change a thing. Best decision I ever made! I'm sure you'll be happy. :D

I'll admit the plannin is MURDER so we're spliting the group, she's gon'na do the bride/maids stuff and I'll handle the groom stuff. Defintly not doin the bachlor party at all. I want my best friend of 14 yrs to be my best man at the wedding but he's in Iraq though...so Idk but I'll have my bro be the 2nd best man.

Milo we're quite happy yet somewhat regretting missing out on the 1st 2 years course it made this year more valuable and worth the adventure.

:D Everythin's coming along fine on my part, my best sisterly friend will do the pics for us at the price of FREE!!!!!! as long we get her the hotel room for the duration of the wedding (which is fine). As for the future Mrs. Ireton, she's still waiting on confirmations on 2 possible bridesmaids, preparing for her graduation then after graduation she's visiting an old roomate from the college program for 10 days and a minor ear surgery sometime before the wedding but we're hopin it'll be done in Oct/Nov. at least. It's kinda stretchin her brain out :( but she's a trooper.

Thanks Jack, it's just for the ear tubes nothin major.

I just recieved an e-mail from my best friend of 14 yrs, sadly he won't be able to attend the wedding as my best man I was really hopin he'd be my best man, but that honor has fallen to my (roughly) older bro

Always open to get weddin theme ideas she wants to use red/black (school/fav colors) so if anybody wants to pitch ideas that'd be great.
