Feature Animation DVD & Blu-Ray Release History?

I love this site, but the Featured Animation list is not very user-friendly. I think it could be improved a lot. Instead of just lumping all the release information into a paragraph in one column, I think there should be a row for each release under each movie and that row should contain the release date.

I suppose take a few months vacation from Disney releases. So I like to come back and scan the Featured Animation list to see what I have missed. It is not easy to pick out the new releases, say for the past 6-12 months. You can scan for Blu-Ray but that doesn't catch everything like Black Cauldron 25th Anniversary.

Is there any published list that actually shows the release history by date for DVD & Blu-Ray for Featured Animations only?

I've maintained my own list for awhile, also noting the dates when things go OOP (dates are approximate). I've also included the speculative Diamond Edition schedule and speculated dates for animated features that will hit theatres in 2011-2013.

That would definitely be exciting. Pocahontas was one of the first DACs I bought (I remember buying it right after my shift ended in MK), and I can't wait for it to be on Blu-Ray.

I've had price tracking on both Dinosaur/Atlantis since early last year, probably sometime in March and one went OOS and then never came back in stock after the other. Think Atlantis went first. Dinosaur remained until around maybe August or something.

There are other specific Jan dates for the Platinums but since they are all in January I doubt it matters to you. Actually, doubt any of these matter since they are all collectively OOP. But, completism I guess.

I found this at dvdtalk forum going through lists by a poster named mcarver who posts lists every Sunday going back to 2007 or 2008. I'm not sure how he is privy to this information and many people have pointed out flaws including himself but yeah he gets them from somewhere.

But the Disney releases are accurate I guess because they all eventually went OOP.

Oh yes, one reason I doubt it is because it still says Atlantis : CE is in print, or at least, never said it went OOP when it can no longer be found on Amazon.

Thanks again! I'll re-update my list with your dates. I'm surprised there's no official OOP status from Disney for Atlantis. It's probably just taking them time to restock, since it's an old title with presumably very little demand.

I'm excited at the thought of getting The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh on Blu-Ray this year. I've never owned that movie, only the individual shorts on VHS, and it's been a while since I've visited the Hundred Acre Woods.

I'm also hoping that we get Aladdin and Lilo & Stitch on Blu-Ray next year in celebration of their 20th and 10th anniversaries (respectively). All they would have to do is port the DVD supplements, as they were some of the best around, and I'd be extremely happy (I unfortunately have a bad feeling that they'll instead drop supplements, especially in the art galleries).
