Wow, first Trolls and now Rockem Sockem Robots? Will they be making Mouse Trap as well?
My guess this is Paramount's way to still keep the toy properties coming after the Transformers trilogy ends next year. Then again, other studios are making "adaptations" of Monopoly, Battleship and Lego. I'm actually more optimistic about those. Clue showed you can make a good film out of a board game and the Lego feature is being made by the same directors as Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.
I really wish Hollywood would get off their lazy butts and come up with something a little more original instead of just turning something simple like a board game or a picture book into a feature-length film.
So, I had posted this, but then I got the idea to make a fake news report, and I did, but then the computer messed up and I lost it. Grrr. So here's the regular, boring link that I originally had posted:
I don't think this is Paramount anymore. This will probably be distributed by Disney's Touchstone division. Such a worthy project, they must be proud of their deal with Dreamworks right about now. Sigh.
