Dexter's Laboratory Season 1 Coming to DVD

Post by PixarFan2006 »

Yet another "classic" Cartoon Network show is getting a season release on dvd. This time, It's Dexter's Laboratory.

Not sure if I really want it as it airs all the time on Boomerang.

I am :D about this release set. Finally it's about time this awesome show gets release. Definitely going to buy it on October 12th and hopefully they don't change the date like Johnny Bravo: Season 1.

YYYYEEEEEESSSSS!!! YES, YES & YES!!! :float:
Woo-hoo.
I was thinking of Dexter just yesterday when I was watching Disney’s up, the talking dog in up reminded me of the episode of Dexter where he makes a dog able to talk and I thought, “I wish they would release Dexter on DVD"!
I am happy to hear that it is coming I had fun watching it growing up.
Thanks for sharing the news.

I'm so glad they're releasing these sets.

Cuz then, maybe....just maybe...there will be a Cow & Chicken release in the near future, and hopefully a nice Complete set like the Powerpuff Girls one.

I loved this show. It was great up until they moved production out of Hanna-Barbera Studios and into Cartoon Network Studios. Once there, they redesigned characters, changed Dexter's voice and got a new line of writers that just didn't hold up. I remember good times with Dexter, Dial M for Monkey, The Justice Friends and Puppet Pals; what a good show.

Although, I don't feel any pressing need to buy it as Boomerang shows this all the time.

You don't need pants for the victory dance 8)

While the show was a little inconsistent, I loved the character designs and it had some moments of great animation (it's no wonder he's good friends with John K.). While Sony Pictures Animation just hasn't impressed me yet, I'm excited to see what David Feiss can do with Hotel Transylvania.

Although, once again, I don't feel any pressing need to buy it as Boomerang shows this all the time.

Yes, the radical change they did on Dexter was godawful, unfunny and the re-design is generic at best.

Cow and Chicken is a guilty pleasure for me. There are times when the jokes are very, very dumb, but has many moments of comedic brilliance.

I loved all of them, the Red Guy, Cow, Parents and Flem.

I didn't care much for Chicken, but loved Boneless Chicken...:D

Johnny Bravo was also funny a few times....but not worth a purchase. I never really liked Dexter.

I also likd I.M. Weasel, but mainly because of the Red Guy again.

Yeah, the third season was terrible. Not to mention the shorts they did between the cartoons (focusing on characters like Dexter's dad) were horrible.
