Which of the 4 would you choose?
hey guys hubby decided that we all should take a family trip on a Disney Cruise, which i am like hell yeahh lol. But he said he does not want to go to Disney World after our cruise, it's too much walking and he rather just be at the hotel, which i said fine i will take DS and he can hang out at the hotel and work out. So we decided we will only stay at Disney World for 2 days. Out of the 4 major parks which would you choose for me (in my twenties) (maybe DH around same age) and DS (will be 5 at the time) to go to. I was think MGM and Magic Kingdom and a lil shopping. I mean obviously we won't be able to do much, but it would be nice to see some characters and shows. Maybe a few rides if we have time. What do you suggest thanks guys

Definitely Magic Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios has a lot of shows and events but not so much rides. What rides they do have might be rough on little kids so if you want plenty of rides I would recommend Animal Kingdom. However, if you want shows and some shopping, Hollywood Studios is good.

Thanks guys i gladly appreciate the comments. I was doing some research and was checking that MGM has some nice shows my son is a lil fearless guy lol so i think he will be ok. And he loves watching shows so i think this place will def' suit us. Thank you Luke and IagoZazu!
Magic Kingdom also has so many characters which he loves so that is y i choose that one, i know he will be so excited to meet the characters!
I will look into Animal Kingdom and try to do an extra day for that thank you Brandon. He loves animals and anything pixar so i think Animal Kingdom should be entertaining for him. He especially loves =

As a hard-core WDW fan, in an ideal world I would reccomend at least one day at all four parks.
However, if this is not possible, the one I would most recommend, is the Magic Kingdom. This is the iconic "East Coast Disneyland" that has versions of most of Walt Disney's original Disneyland classics. It's also the park with the most rides and attractions and the one with the greatest connection to the characters from the Disney Animated Classics. Iconic, classic, Disney rides/attractions like Splash Mountain, Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain, It's A Small World, Mickey's Philharmagic, Peter Pan's Flight, Snow White's Adventures, Many Adventures Of Winnie the Pooh, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Country Bear Jamboree, Tiki Birds, Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Carribean, Haunted Mansion, Carousel Of Progress, Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin, etc; can all be found at the Magic Kingdom, as well as the nightly fireworks and Electrical Parade.
Mickey's Toontown Fair is also located in the MK, and if you are interested in this section, be sure to see it, because it's closing soon to make way for a Fantasyland expansion.
The other three parks, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom, all have great things to offer as well, and depending on my mood at any given time, have had turns being my second favorite. Perhaps looking through guidebooks and/or websites that give a breakdown of all the rides and attractions at each park would help you decide.
Lastly, if you visit in the summer, I highly recommend drinking plenty of water/fluids and staying hydrated, because it's hot as Hades in the summer!

Going to Orlando October 6th (for a doctor's appt) & staying over to go to Disney on the 7th (mom & I have a free Disney day from the Volunteer program to use). Haven't gone in about 5 years & hit all 4 parks back then with a large family group which included a couple strong nephews who could lift me from my wheelchair onto most rides where a transfer is needed. This time it's just me & my 81 year old mother. I won't be transferring out of the chair for any rides. We're going to see the shows, ride the rides that I can bring my manual wc on & I was wondering from those Disney World regulars which park you'd think we'd have the most fun in. I'm 55 years old & a big Disney fan of course (& if I didn't live 3 hours away with a van that eats gas big time I'd probably have an annual pass but live just too far away).

As far as shows go, Hollywood Studios is good: they have Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, the Animation Studio, Indiana Jones, the American Idol Experience, Sounds Dangerous, One Man's Dream (if it's reopened by then), the Narnia walk-through, if it's still open...lots of fun shows and non-rides...but Animal Kingdom does have some really good shows: Festival of the Lion King, Finding Nemo: The Musical, Flights of Wonder, and I'm sure there are more...and surely lots of the rides allow your wheelchair, right?

http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/disabmobility.htm#access This page has each park & breaks it down. The 1st category is rides that require you to transfer from the chair. Those are the rides/attractions/shows that I can't do & the rest I can do from a manual wheelchair. Looking at that list which would you choose? Magic Kingdom has the biggest list of things that need a transfer but a large list of things that don't (a lot of them are not all that great though). Love to hear your suggestions.

It depends if you want more shows or rides. I mean, if you want more shows, I still suggest DHS & AK, but if you want to get your ride on, there's a lot at MK that you can do, and Epcot is a good mix of rides and shows that you can do.
I think it really depends on what you want to do- it's hard to make this recommendation!

You do have to consider what you are interested in doing most, and what subjects interest the people who will go, and stuff like that. All four parks are GREAT! I would say that Magic Kingdom is always the first choice, but if you have a Disney-hater or someone just not interested in Disney, then they're not going to like it. But, otherwise, it should always be choice numero uno.
My second choice would probably be EPCOT. Although the FutureWorld half of it is so weak compared to the old days, it's still EPCOT, which is just a joy to be at. It also is the most walking though (unless Animal Kingdom topped it, I don't remember). It probably offers the least for small children, but then it does have the Nemo ride and the Mexico and Norway boat rides, oh, and Figment's imagination ride, of course! I also LOVE the American Adventure. But, yeah, nowadays I don't know if a 5 year old would like much there besides Nemo, Figment, and the Mexico boat ride maybe.
If you're into thrill rides, you would probably want to go to Disney Hollywood Studios, with the Rockin' Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror. None of the Disney parks are heavy on thrill rides, and I like it that way. Sadly, I think all the parks have been downgraded over the past 15 years or so, and with Star Tours closed, I'm not sure how good Disney Studios is these days. Still, there's the Great Movie Ride, I suppose the Indiana Jones Stunt Show is still there, and the Muppet 3D movie, all of which I LOVE. And I'm a nut for the Little Mermaid stage show, if it's still there. Don't know what the state of the animation tour is now, or the other attractions that held to the theme of the park: actual movie/TV studio stuff.
Animal Kingdom is great if you love animals. Of course, if you don't, don't go there. Highlights for me are the Dinosaur ride, the rafting ride, and I'm dying to experience the ride with the Yeti (A thrill ride). Don't know, but all that stuff may be too intense for a 5 year old. THere's the Tough to be a Bug 3D movie though, and some kiddie rides, the safari and just lots of animals to look at in general, plus some neat shows.
The best thing is to look at what there is to do at the parks and choose one based on the ages and tastes of people who will be going. People who do not like Disney will not like Magic Kingdom, people who don't like animals won't like Animal Kingdom, EPCOT is probably best for an adult, even now, but it has a couple of things a little kid would LOVE. Disney Hollywood Studios may not have much of an identity anymore, frankly, and would be hard to describe. I think if you love movies, especially Disney ones, you probably would still enjoy it, and I guess small kids would enjoy some things like the Muppets and Little Mermaid shows a lot. Magic Kingdom has the most rides, especially for little kids, though you should really love Disney.
