Some silly questions....

Post by nachonaco »

It looks like I may be headed for Port Charlotte next spring break, which is 3 hours away from Orlando.

As I haven't been to Orlando/WDW in 8 years, what is there to do?

Is Pleasure Island still there? (Don't worry, I'll be 21 before then.... ;) )

How much should I save up? I found a flight from Owensboro (which is about 4 hours away from me or so), and I think it's about....$60 per person or whatever.

So if I fly out that Sunday and plan to come back on Thursday (the only two days that flight goes to just-outside Orlando), that's 120 right there.

So I guess I would need a 3- or 4-day park pass, right?

I want the Park Hopper/Water Park Fun pass, which is about $300.

Then there's the hotel, which should be, what, probably $100 a night or so?

Then I'd need stuff for restaurants, souvenirs....

I'm thinking $1500 isn't too far off? Maybe 2 grand?

If you haven't been in 8 Years, a 3- or-4-day hopper pass isn't enough. When we went in September 2008, we had a 7-day hopper and we found it wasn't enough. When we returned last December, we had a 10-eay hopper and could have used more.

It all depends what you want to do. For Epcot and Magic Kingdom, you need a lot more time than one day. PM me if you want any pictures from WDW.

I can't say anything about Pleasure Island.

When we went last year, we bought everything in advance except for meals and souvenirs.

For WDW, Universal and SeaWorld, the two of use paid about $3,500 CA, which came out to $1,750 CA.

Mind you, we also went to SeaWorld and Universal.

I don't know about how much everything would be (I'd have to research it), but there aren't any nightclubs open at Pleasure Island anymore.
