What your thoughts on this being the Final Batman Film from the mind of Christopher Nolan.....and do you think he wil send Superman more into the corn field or make him a shining star on film?

although he does say who the Villain in the last Bats Film will not be and that is Mr. Freeze....

Sounds good although truthfully I'm not sure I want another Batman film, The Dark Knight was so good, so perfect that unless this film equals it then it will be a disappointment. The villain was also so good that it's hard to think of one to top it, of course it could be the same villain but it won't be the same without Heath Ledger.

I thought that Batman Begins and The Dark Knight were both incredible films, and I have faith that Nolan will deliver again with the 3rd installment.

And even though it's sad to see the end of his Batman movies, at least they'll go out on top (unless the 3rd one sucks, which I don't think it will).
But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.

Those of you who follow the internet and the rumor mill should know by now that Nolan has over 30 hours of unused Heath Ledger footage as the Joker because he was planning on using him in the opening sequences of the third movie.

Look for a blockbuster of a film, and the return of The Joker in the form of Heath Ledger along with the possible appearance of another nemesis in the Batman story. I think that Chris Nolan will do right by all of us Batman fans and the movie will not be a let down, and will have a very good ending.

As far as his work with Superman, I am willing to give him a chance to see what he comes up with. I just don't want him to go back to the beginnings (Again!!!) because it is a story we are familiar with. Plus I hope that he picks someone very unique to portray Clark Kent/Superman and not try to find a clone of Christopher Reeves.

Where do you read that? You've mentioned this before, and I've still never heard it anywhere else.

That would so work usin the 30 min footage of Heath Ledger's Joker... The perfect opening sequence.

As for choice of villain, since Nolan won't use Posion Ivy (which is a shame) or Mr. Freeze (thank you for killin the character Gov. Arnold)

I'd go with the following

Catwoman

Harley Quinn (she could team up with CatWoman and try get'tin revenge on Batman)

The Riddler (Jason Issac could pull this role off or Pierce Bronson)

One rumor I heard about the Riddler a while back is that Johnny Depp was being considered for the role...though I'm not sure if that has any truth to it but I heard that rumor

Well after doin Mad Hatter, Johnny Depp takin on The Riddler would seem a bit...identical role for him, I know that Mad Hatter and Riddler are possibly different characters, but Johnny Depp's approach would be the same 'less he portays him as a sadistic high tech terriorist

Wouldn't it be ironic if The Mad Hatter from Batman was a villain in this new film and for even more ironic to have Johnny Depp Play the Mad Hatter :P

Well... that wouldn't really be ironic. That would be apt.

SprinheelJack, sorry it took so long to get back to. But to answer your question.

Right after Heath Ledger's death was announced and after the blockbuster opening weekend for "The Dark Knight", Christopher Nolan said that all of his plans for the third Batman movie died with Heath Ledger. But in the same interview he said that if he was to continue the franchise, he still had over 30 hours of unused footage of Heath Ledger as The Joker.

Whether or not it gets used, we will see. I have heard the same rumor about Johnny Depp possibly being in line to play The Riddler in the third and last installment of the Nolan 'Batman' films.

I don't blame Arnold for Mr. Freeze. I thought during the serious moments, he really did well. Its not Arnold's fault Schucrapper gave him the lame lines and a sub-par costume. I totally blame the director for Mr. Freeze becoming a joke. Which is unfortunate since Mr. Freeze is by far one of the best Batman villains ever, IMO.

I know its sacrilegious, but I still want to see Joker come back. I still say Crispin Glover could play him so well. Add Harley Quinn in the mix and I will be happy.

Speaking as a big Johnny Depp fan, I do not want to see him play the Riddler. He seems to be "the internet's" choice, and frankly, I would rather just go with whoever Chris Nolan picks. I mean, when he said Heath Ledger would play the Joker, who could have anticipated how that would have ended up on the screen? Basically, I think a lesser known and perhaps less obvious choice would be more interesting.

On that note, I'm not even sure I want to see the Riddler in the movie. And we all know that there's no way in hell Mr. Freeze will exist in Nolan's realistic Batman universe. I'd be interested probably in someone lesser known (like, as much as I like Ra's al Ghul, he was probably not the most obvious choice for a villain).

And if the Joker were to be in it... Joseph Gordon Levitt. No one else.

*looks at Disneyboy's post of Mad Hatter's image* Oh dear god, I actualy remember that villain....

To be honest, wouldn't mind seein Jim Carrey returning as Riddler...course he'd have to bring realistic depth to the character, but then again...an unknown actor could work too, I mean Heath Ledger just came out of nowhere with his performance as Joker...

Why do people want Jokier to return with different actor?? we don't know if Nolan's gon'na include the extra footage of Heath's performance or not...
