Anyone who thinks Camp Rock is the best Disney Channel film?

Post by DisneyFan09 »

At least I do. I'm not a fan of DC movies, but I've watched a few. I was pleasently surprised by "Camp Rock", I thought it was going to be cheesy and dumb. But it wasn't. It was actually a quite solid and decent movie.

No offence to the "High School Musical" fans, but I think "Camp Rock" is way better. It has more heart, edge and vibe to it, a story who is predictable, but still have with more turn and twists on the plot and better songs (although I think some of the High School songs are catchy).

I've seen "Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie" and thought it was decent, too and "Princess Protection Program" was also surprisingly good. But "Camp Rock" surprised me and I'll claim that is the best Disney Channel movie I've seen. Anyone agrees?

High School Musical is my favorite, but Camp Rock is good too!
But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.

"Camp Rock" is terrible. So is "High School Musical." The best DCOM of all time is called "Tru Confessions." They only showed it, like, twice though because it dealt with mature themes. Look it up. It's very good.

I understand that you are new to the site, so let me explain something. Ultimate Disney is a community that is up to date with everything Disney related. So if Disney is about to release a big movie, TV series, TV movie, DVD etc. its likely that there's already a thread for it. You just have to look for it using the search engine.

If you need any help feel free to contact any of us and we will try to help :)

I don't like any of the DCOMs, especially the newer ones.... Although I remember I used to really love this one that I can't quite remember, and they didn't show it very much. It was about a boy who was going through puberty and turning into a merman.... That's all I remember, though.

There's not many threads, but discussion of Camp Rock can be found here:

Cheetah Girls 3 and Camp Rock headed to Disney Channel

Favorite Camp Rock Song?

Camp Rock Extended Rock Star Edition

Camp Rock 2 - Confirmed

And the best DCOM of all time is The Color of Friendship. ;)

Margos, the one you're thinking about is The Thirteenth Year.

I whole-heartedly agree. Tru Confessions is the only DCOM I like enough to want to own, and yet it's not available. It needs to at least be a Disney Movie Rewards exclusive or something.

Ah! Thanks, Scaps, I had forgotten! Yes, I loved that thing when they first aired it. Saw a couple minutes of it a few months ago and was like, "Well.... that wasn't as good as I remember." :P

My favorite DCOMs are the HSM films, but Camp Rock would have to be my third favorite, I think...

But there are so many good ones...

And here I was starting to think I was the only one. :o

Personally, I find Tru Confessions and The Color of Friendship completely overblown melodrama. It's like watching The Land Before Time 2 through 13.

If Camp Rock is the Best DCOM Ever then that makes Cinderella II: Dreams Come True the best disney animated film of all time :P

(regardless of it being a DTV release)

Hi there. I'm sorry, I didn't meant to seem immature or stupid. I know that I've could searched for a Camp Rock thread, but I was afraid if I did so, it would seemed that I bumped, if you get me. So that's why I started a new thread. I'm sorry.

Better to bump an old thread if you have something relevant to post than to make another thread dealing with the same subject! Live and learn! :)

Sure, but on other forums I've been banished cause I bumped an old thread (before when I were younger and dumber).

Suprisingly many "Camp Rock" haters around here. I thought people were more neutral and open-minded here.

Ok well HSM is always gonna be the best one, but I kinda liked the songs on Camp Rock more. Tha's the only reason why I like this movie. Everone in camp rock should've gone to more acting classes becuase everyone's acting including the JOnas Brothers were terrible. But the soundtrack was amazing! :D

Jeez, that's harsh! We don't do that around here, DisneyFan, at least not if you're bumping it because you have something relevant to say.
But, unfortunately, few real "Disney fans," myself included, like what's become of Disney channel in the least. Sure, some of us like Camp Rock, HSM, etc. and there's no shame in that. But it is sad to see what could be a great TV station wasting its time on a single demographic.

Okay, that's good, so now I know about the former.

I'm a "real Disney fan" myself, I'm a sucker for 2D animation, but I'm also open-minded about several things. I'm not a fan of most of Disney Channel movies myself, but I watched all the "High School Musical", "Camp Rock" and "Hannah Montana The Movie" (although the latter isn't a DC flick, but it does counts) with an open mind. In return, I do watch some of the Disney Channel shows and I enjoy them now and them, although they can be quite silly now and then
