Availability of Feb 3 Releases

Post by MonsterHunter »

What's the deal with Amazon? I didn't check all the releases but several were "special order." How can that be when these supposedly came out today? And if they are out, what's the point of linking to a store that can't even get them to you?

after contacting my local distributors, it seems they were supposed to get these films in as well, but they haven't arrived.

is anyone else thinking what i'm thinking?

they won't show up on shelves for a couple of weeks (i.e. the love bug, and rescuers fiasco) and then find a home at wal-mart for 14.44

i at least hope they have inserts this time.

I saw the vast majority of them at Best Buy today. I wanted to get Misadventures of Merlin Jones, Return to Oz and maybe Midnight Madness. I have to wait a little bit though, I just spent a load of money on other DVDs! They were all $16.99 though. I am hoping that they WILL show up at Walmart for $14.44!

This again shows the complete incompetence of Michael Eisner and the Disney Company.

Febuary 3rd Releases

Post by Disney Guru »

This is a link to tell you all out there that I found a store that has all 9 of the Disney Releases that were released today.

BESTBUY

I tried for ages to find them but it was in vain yesterday.

Until last night I went to my local BESTBUY and found them all.

Here is a list of all of the Febuary 3rd Releases

Follow Me Boys
BON VOYAGE!
Those Calloways
Missadventures Of Merlin Jones
Midnight Madness
Perfect Harmony
Return To Oz
Ruby Bridges
Selma Lord Selma

I only bought

Follow Me Boys
BON VOYAGE!
Those Calloways
Missadventures Of Merlin Jones
Midnight Madness

But I will be buying the others soon.

Please respond if you know of any store that has these releases.

Why did you buy only these for now? I was a little supriced since that was the 5 same that I ordered.

I have not seen any of them myself, but I am a big fan of the old comedy/family movies. Did I do good here? Should I get some of the others?

My favorites of Disney are: The Love Bug (all of them), All the pirate movies, Snowball Express and such movies. (just mentioning so you can see what I do like)

I bought those 5 because they were my favorites out of the 5. I am a big fan of the old disneys myself.

Finally got to my local Best Buy and picked up 3 titles: Misadventures, Those Calloways, and Midnight Madness. Midnight Madness, incidencly, was priced at 10.99. I'll pick up a couple of more titles the next time I get to the city. I want to get Bon Voyage and Selma Lord Selma next.

I own "Return to OZ." I got it at Best Buy. I watched the special features last night and Faruiza Balk has gotten kind of creepy. She seems a but cookoo, but I probably would be to if I was robed of my childhood like she was. I haven't watched all of the movie, but the picture quality is pretty good. I would have liked for them to have done a great restoration, though.

Are you having problems finding the Febuary 3rd Releases

Post by Disney Guru »

I have heard from a lot of people that they are having problems finding the Febuary 3rd Releases. If you are one of those that are having problems finding them. You can find them at Best Buy. All other stores are either on order. And Amazon.com doesn't have many left. Becauses they say ships within 2-3 weeks. So best Buy Is the best place to go to find these. For the best deal. Or GlacierBayDVD on E-Bay. They have them also. And they are all priced @ $14.99 from GlacierBayDVD. If anybody else out there knows any other place that caries them please respond with the name of the store.

Have A Great Day

I bought mine from dvdsoon.com in Canada.

They are usualy not good with getting items that are not in stock, but if they still have any copies in stock then you could buy from them.
