Vault Disney Box Set!

Post by goof ball »

If anyone is missing the wonderful Vault Disney dvds from there collection I saw today that Costco had a nice BOX SET of them for only $45. The box looked nice and it was a shock because I had no idea they were planning on putting them out as a set. Anyway, if you don't own them here's your chance.

Thanks for that info. Maybe Sams will get them and I can pick a set up for someone for Christmas. They are cheap enough!!!

I don't think there is a pack for the Muppet movies, since 4 are Columbia/TriStar titles (actually more, counting the TV films) and 2 are Disney.

I have all 6 theatrical Muppets films, even if the 2 Disney DVDs suck.

Excuse my ignorance, but what DVDs are included in this box set? Not that I'd be able to get my hands on it anyway......

I haven't seen it, but I'd guess Old Yeller, Pollyanna, The Parent Trap, and Swiss Family Robinson.

Loomis rushes to Costco, credit card in hand...

That's great! They are doing that with the Muppets too.

Muppet Movies and Muppet Show--4-discs for each box, at $49.99. Even though it is way below retail, it is still a little high for some bare-bones discs (except Muppets From Space, which has great bonus features).

Vault Disney box-set question?

Post by Loomis »

Although I could never question the mighty authority that is 'Luke - Administrator', I had a quick question about the 8-disc Vault Disney box-set containing 2002's double-disc releases of Old Yeller, Pollyanna, Swiss Family Robinson, and The Parent Trap as mentioned on the front page.

I know you say "Don't let Amazon's listing confuse you - it actually contains all 4 movies and 4 discs of extras, not just 2 movies and 4 discs as they indicate".
The lilnk quite clearly states Old Yeller/Pollyanna as the two films.
Are you absolutely sure it will contain all 4 films with supplements??
It would mean a HUGE savings for me, especially with the exchange rate, if all 8 discs were there.
Sorry to be painful - I just wanted to make abslutely sure before I went ahead and ordered it...
Cheers

It'd be absolutely retarded for Disney to release JUST those two with a significantly higher SRP than buying them individually. It's for all four - other e-tailers have it correctly listed as such with all 4 movies.

Here's DVD Planet's listing:
http://www.dvdplanet.com/product_listin ... format=DVD

And be sure to use the site's link...but disregard what Amazon says

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... eimprovemz

It is a pretty great price.

Thanks, Luke. I'll never doubt you again

I was thinking it'd be retarded to release just 2 at that price, I'm just wary of Amazon's listings sometimes.

There was this 3 volume set one time and the item I ordered just had the title, didn't say vol 2 or 3. So I ordered it, incorrectly thinking it was volume 1. When #2 arrived, I checked the record and it said Volume 2 now! And they were kind enough to change it (eventually), but I always like to double check I'm ordering what I think I am :P

Anyways, thanks for reassuring a very paranoid (and possibly reatrded...)person.

Will order as soon as I get home from work.

Yeah, the Costco deal was pretty cool - but unfortunately didn't deliver outside the US. Actually, that was the case with all the good deals - none of them delivered outside the US.

At least with the Amazon et al deals, we poor souls who were born outside the US can order it too.

Plus Luke gets a kick back from Amazon

I get an even bigger kickback overall if people buy some non-media products...might I recommend some inexpensive Black Toy Makeup to anyone? D'oh, looks like they don't carry that anymore.

And Loomis, you're not paranoid (or retarded), Amazon's listing is so clear-cut (in its wrongness) that even I'd be skeptical of what I said. :)

You tell me this AFTER I order it :P

Maybe I should have added that black makeup I've always been wanting to my shopping basket....

I don't know if it makes any difference, but I was bored and submitting a catalog correction to Amazon.

Hopefully they will check and change the listing.

Ok, I now officially have no life - hee hee hee
