So unfortunatley the dragon did not show today due to some last minute snag. But it will very soon. Hopefully by the time the D23 Expo starts!

:o :o Oh WOW. The dragon debuted tonight at Disneyland and it had to have been one of the most amazing moments I have ever experienced at any Disney park. The energy was just so high. The dragon looked wonderful.

When Mickey defeats her, sparks fly out of the side of her head and smoke comes out of her eyes and mouth! And her entire body is covered with electric shocks :o

Of course, there had to be a snag: no fire breathing! But still amazing! I hope WDW is able to upgrade their dragon soon.

Holy crap! That dragon looks incredible. It certainly changes the Fantasmic experience.

New Fantasmic Dragon!!!

Post by Disney Duster »

Murphy is a nickname for the dragon relating to Murphy's Law (anything that can go wrong will go wrong) for the dragon not showing up to the apparences it promised so many times.

I have decided that I like the new dragon most especially because it is tall and Maleficent grew up in the air for a reason, to be a tall dragon not low on the ground!

But I also think they should have made it sparkly like the old dragon because it matched Maleficent's sparkly costume and staff, and they should have made the wings more of a thin, win-like material like the old dragon had. Also, I think the electric magic effects that cover her body(that "destroy" her) showed up better on the old dragon, or were just better.

Oh! Really? Boy, dont i feel sheepish.. All this time i thought they nicknamed the dragon "Murphy" because it sounded like Maleficent . Jeez.. :( Ah well, i shall still call it Malify!

No! Those electric sparks dont destroy her. She always returns.. Dang it!
