it does indeed look great, but they've aired it so many times now in in the past few months. They need to start airing toy story (1, 2 or both is fine with me) or the Lion King in HD.

It looks largely the same as the DVD, but in 1:85.1 open matte.

If the movie in HD looked the same as on DVD, it would imply that blue ray and dvd have the same quality...
...which we all know is not true. SCREENCAPS!

I said it looked *largely* the same, but the HD broadcast does indeed look better. There was a noticeable improvement in all parts of the picture(except maybe broadcast artifacts), but nothing really stood out to me. Plus, DVD transfers are often used in HD broadcast television.
