Well, when I was around thirteen or fourteen, I dyed my hair blonde for a time and my grandmother called me Janice. "See, you look just like her! Long and skinny with a big mouth and eyeshadow, and now you're blonde, too!" What, and I closed my eyes all the time, Grandma?
Janice grew on me, though! And in retrospect, I can see what my grandmother was talking about.

That's hot.

While I love a lot of Muppets, my absolute favorite is actually a combination of three:
Beaker, Animal, and Swedish Chef. Together. Such as here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OCbuRA_D3KU and here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDFgtFXfnv0

For me, its very hard to pick just one or even a handful of characters.
The Muppets are an ensemble cast. Character's brings something to the show and everyone is unique. Kermit has great talent and charisma, and sees the talent in all. Piggy is the diva that while great lets it get to her head. Fozzie is the guy that wants to make people laugh and has good intentions but is a bit misguided. Fonzo is the lovable loser and weirdo. Even if he does something absurd you still love him. Bunsen is smart, but Beaker is so sadly a victim of his inventions.
And it just goes on and on. Each character completes the Muppet and thus why I love them all!
