Sleeping Beauty Platinum Edition

Post by Sword and the Stone Rocks »

The Sleeping Beauty movie was just released as a "special edition" DVD, but it is also pn the platinum edition list. Does this mean it will be rereleased in a few years under a "platinum edition" title.

If it is, I am going to wait to buy it

Welcome to the forums! Nice to have a new member on board. :)

At this time, nobody really knows the details of the supposed Sleeping Beauty: Platinum Edition. Most speculate it'll be released after 2007, once all of the original 10 titles are released. Also, nothing is concrete this far in advance, so you never know: it might end up not being released as a Platinum Edition.

I know many, including myself, would reccomend picking up the current Special Edition. It is a very nice, packed set, and there's no telling what or what not will be included on the next release. Plus, you'll have to wait years if you're going to hold off until the Platinum version.

So go get Sleeping Beauty before it's no longer available in stores. You'll be very happy with the set, I'm sure.

Yeah, my advice is the same. Go out and get it before it's impossible to find. There are a ton of extras. I honestly don't know what else they can put out there on the Platinum Edition, that wasn't included on this Special Edition. At least I have it now for the time being. And I HATE waiting.....

Sleeping Beauty went back into the vault on January 31 but you still might be able to find a copy in stores. Sometimes stores can be a little slow to take OOP Disney DVDs off the store shelves.
Dragon, not lizard. I don't do that tongue thing.

Stores do not take them off shelves. They sell off remaining stock.

Remaining Stock

Many stores also buy about a six month to one year supply as well.

There is nothing preventing them from doing so. I have still noticed the occaisional copy of Beauty and the Beast around.
