Giveoogle

I encourage everyone to use www.giveoogle.com instead of regular Google. Giveoogle is the EXACT same thing, only everytime you search something, money is donated to charity. :)

I bet next somebody is gonna say that Blackle.com saves energy?

Because it sure as heck doesn't. I can assure you - with an LCD monitor, any color uses the exact same amount of power, so using black instead of white does nothing. If anything, black uses MORE energy than white on LCDs.

Moral of the story is to not believe everything you read. While they say they donate money to charity, how can you be sure? They probably just cash the checks they get from advertising and chuckle... Not to mention with my Ad Blocker scripts they make zero, zip, zilch off me

I'll use it in hopes that they are speaking the truth and giving money to charity...

Well my parents already send checks to quite a few major charities... so it's not like I really have to worry about giving anything...

Normal Google has always worked fine for me, I have no reason to stop using it. Plus, does Giveoogle have the cool artwork like Google had yesterday? :)

Because "cool artwork" tops giving money to charity, any day.

Giveoogle sounds great, since it's run by Google, so surely the search results will be what we expect from Google.

There's also www.goodsearch.com , which allows you to choose which charity gets your money- they donate a penny per search to the charity of your choice. I search for Suncoast Basset Rescue, since that's where we adopted 2 of our dogs. Google is still my number 1 search engine, but I do use Goodsearch, too, as well as Dogpile or Yahoo, and others, depending on what I'm searching for.
