Well it seems that the first look at Chicken Little is now available for you to feast upon and comes to us from the 2003 Disney Annual Report. The first picture from the Mouse Houses first all computer animtated feature away from Pixar looks to be very promising and actually to me and looks great and the animtaion I think is on par with that of Pixars but more Disney like. I am very excited about this movie and have been for a while not just beacuse of the wonder and curiosity to see Disney pull of the CGI business but also beacuse its Disney's return to Fairy Tales and Fables that intigues me more. So here you guys and girls go the first picture from Disney's 2005 Animted Feature Chicken Little...
The animation looks pretty cool! Now let's hope Disney can get the rest of the movie right. I'm just kidding! Well, sorta.......
And I don't think that Mickey is CGI. It looks 2D to me, just with some added lighting effects and such. EDIT: Okay, Joe beat me to the punch. Except that I was wrong anyways, at least in the lighting effects part.

To ensure that new DVD households will have the opportunity to collect more of these premium titles, while also maintaining the long-term value of these franchises, a new strategy for the Platinum Collection was put in place, increasing the collection from 10 to 14 titles overall. Beginning in 2005, two new titles a year will be released as part of the Platinum Collection.

Coolness! Chicken Little looks (and sounds) awesome, but I thought they changed the character into a girl and the picture looks like a boy...or I'm just missing something. Oh well,
As for the CGI Mickey...I think my avatar is a better example of a CGI Mickey, but I could understand how the one Choco Bear links to kind of...sort of...looks CGI...
While i'm looking forward to it, i wish that they would continue with 2D but thats really off topic i guess.
Anyway, yeah i'm looking forward to it despite disney's recent issues. I'm sure i'll like it and eventually buy it like any other disney freak/drone. LOL

I tend to agree. I know it is only a very small shot, but the colours look very rich and well defined. Certainly a tease for something much grander....
I am definitely interested in this project. I'm not opposed to CGI in any way, and have enjoyed almost every CGI project that has been released. I do regret seeing 2D animation go, but this may be the start of somethign amazing too.
Well to me, it doesn't look like a Disney movie. I say "depressing" because this literarally ends the wonderful 2d animation and is replacing this with something that looks like Pixar! It also seems that Disney is planning on making their new computer films comedys. Not that funny movies are bad, it's just that that's not what I think of when I think of Disney.
They had a wall full of future animation projects at Disney-MGM Studios. They had a few art pieces from Chicken Little. I am sad to see 2-D animation go, but I am looking foward to seeing this movie.

My thoughts are quite similar. I was hoping they'd go for a more traditional disney look and not start to make these pixar-style slapstick comedies everybody else is doing. I don't know if there's something wrong with me, but I just don't find them interesting at all. If Disney films become like Shrek, Ice Age, and Monsters Inc, I'm not going to waste my time with them anymore.

Yes, I have mixed feelings too. While I do think this could be a potentially great film, it is unfortunate that it has to be at the expense of the very reason I loved Disney in the first place.
Having said that, we still have access to all those films - and if Disney keeps good storytelling at the core, then we may be in for a bold new direction that we were there for the start of...
Well, I for one would like a film that's a little more than "funny". Compare Chicken Little to Beauty and the Beast. Or even The Great Mouse Detective.
Sorry, but the funny "buddy" films are getting a little annoying.

Dinosaur isn't really an animated classic since it was not made by Disney's feature animation division. I guess that that would make Chicken Little Disney's very first completely digital classic.

Also you might also want to notice the very impressive looking(at least I think so)CGI Mickey on the cover.
*Ok maybe Mickey is just over airbrushed I still think he looks prettyfull

to be honest, I hope that CG image is not yet rendered or something, or else it looks like Disney is about 6 years behind Pixar when it comes to CG animation.... it really looks like Jimmy Neutron
HOTR really is the last real Disney... I hope Mark Dindal will be able to turn Chicken Little, storywise, in to something good... because what I see here doesnt impress me at all... hope im not offending anyone with my opnion
