"It's not their problem", huh? If I were in the situation, I'd sue the company.

it's really amazing how that could have happened, especially that a customer already returned the box of rocks and wal-mart "tried" to sale it again.

But lucky for them, i guess it is really hard to proof, that there was no DS, but some rocks. Who would believe that normally ?

How much you wanna bet that the last person who purchased the "box of rocks" actually got a DS, supplied the rocks and newspaper, and decided to claim they were in there the whole time?

i guess that's what would most people think, when they hear the story. It's really incredible that something like that can happen, also that the box of stones got returned and found it's way back in the wal-mart to be sold again.

And here I thought Wal-Mart at least inspected the products first before they went back on the shelf. But now I know.

I bought my DSi from Amazon, and at least they have some real customer service...

I can't reach my DS lite box right now, but I thought new game systems had a cutout on the back of the box where the stores scan the serial number before they sell it to you....

I just picked up a used Gameboy Advance SP (Pearl Blue) in the box, and it has a hole like that.
