I knew it was a matter of time!:

"From Dvdtimes. Looks like Parts 4 and 6 will have deleted footage as extras. No word if Part 3 on BD will include the 3D version, but it seems to have the extras that were included on the UK disc, and were missing from the R1 dvd. Still, I'm gonna wait for the full BD boxset at the end of the year.

It's great to see Part V finally getting some bonuses. And it looks (HOPEFULLY) like we'll finally see all the Part IV deleted scenes that Paramount didn't include on the first DVDs (including the scenes with Tommy scaring Trish with his mask, more of Rob outside the tent, and Sara and Doug talking outside).

But... it also REALLY saddens me to see Part III didn't get a better DVD than parts IV and V are going to get. That's just highway robbery!

I admit that the new covers of V and VI are a serious improvement over Paramount's disgraceful 2001 DVD's of both. But part IV's totally sucks. What the hell's with the fire? The black background and blood pool cover was much better. I also sort of miss the cool pink laser-beam cover for Part V, but that cheap white mask looked awful. The poster for the movie was crappy too, so V has always been dogged with bad covers and promotional stuff.

As for me buying... I'll wait for the new boxset (which probably won't come out until next year, I know). If they include the new bonuses for Part III, I'll pick it up. If not, I'll just get the individual re-release of Part V. And, if they put out deluxe editions of Parts VII and VIII, I'll get those as well. But I'll have to think long and hard about picking up any of the others.
