Kelly Clarkson "All I Ever Wanted" releasing March

Post by my chicken is infected »

Containing the US record-breaking #1 smash hit "My Life Would Suck Without You."

The album will be released in four versions:
Physical standard CD
Physical Deluxe Edition CD/DVD, with two bonus tracks
iTunes standard, with bonus track if you pre-order
iTunes Deluxe Edition, with the bonus iTunes pre-order track and the two bonus tracks from the physical deluxe edition, and I believe videos of the DVD content

The Deluxe Edition's bonus DVD will contain the following:
1. Making Of The Video
2. Making Of The Album
3. My Life Would Suck Without You (Music Video)
4. Photo Gallery

Standard Edition Cover:

Deluxe Edition Cover:

Tracklisting:
1. My Life Would Suck Without You
2. I Do Not Hook Up
3. Cry
4. Don't Let Me Stop You
5. All I Ever Wanted
6. Already Gone
7. If I Can't Have You
8. Save You
9. Whyyawannabringmedown
10. Long Shot
11. Impossible
12. Ready
13. I Want You
14. If No One Will Listen

Deluxe Edition Bonus Tracks:
15. Tip Of My Tongue
16. The Day We Fell Apart

iTunes Pre-Order Bonus Track:
17. Can We Go Back

The album has already leaked due to iTunes Norway screwing up big time and allowing people to buy the album. :P (Although so far, the only bonus track to leak is The Day We Fell Apart.) So far, I've read very few negative reviews of the album from people who listened to the leak. I've even seen many say they like this album even more than her Grammy-winning smash hit Breakaway. I agree with that sentiment, but since I liked the cruelly underrated My December more than Breakaway, I'm still not sure if I think this is her best album yet, but I'm really enjoying it a lot. I hope "Cry" is a single in the future - I think it stands very well alongside her great ballads like "Because Of You" and "Sober," which really deserved to do better on radio.

The only song I've heard thus far is "My Life Would Suck Without You," and I was very surprised I liked that one so much. The title is kind of sketchy.

Anyway, I also enjoyed My December (which I heard next to nothing of on the radio), but I'm kind of glad to have another CD closer to Breakaway. I'm definitely getting the Deluxe version. The more, the better with Kelly Clarkson.

Also, wasn't there a picture for the album with her holding a heart-shaped sucker? That's what I thought the cover was supposed to be.

The album leaked, and I heard it. It's really good, much better than My December (which I never listened to all of it because I just couldn't get into it). It's great, and I will definitely be picking up the Deluxe Edition the week it comes out. "I Do Not Hook Up", "Whyyawannabringmedown" and "I Want You" are my absolute favorites on the album. Maybe I will give December another chance.

I don't really blame you for not listening all the way through. My December really is a mixed bag. There were really only 5 songs on the album I liked enough to listen more than once or twice ("Don't Waste Your Time," "Sober," "Maybe," "How I Feel," and "Irvine"). The rest ranged from the okay ("Never Again") to the horrendous ("One Minute").

And, yeah, I did see that heart picture on a "My Life..." preview.

I've listened to about half it and there's a few stand outs I like. I have to say it's must better than her last album. :)

My Deluxe Edition CD/DVD arrived in the mail today - two days before expected. :D

Sony BMG/RCA made a little booboo with the printing of the tray insert - the text on the left spine is printed upside down. Major fail on their part. Fortunately, that's about the only complaint. (Unless the glue from the security sticker on top not coming off clean is an issue on all copies. Then another major fail.)

The Deluxe Edition is worth the extra money for the two bonus tracks, which I'm actually sad that they're not on the standard edition. (Especially since if they were, that'd mean two or three MORE bonus tracks on this one. :D ) I might scan the artwork and stuff sometime. It's kinda cool, with all the bright colors and such.

My last complaint is really the same complaint I have with most bonus DVDs contained in Deluxe Editions of CDs...too short. All of the video content adds up to about 15 minutes, whereas it'd have been nice to have 15-20 minutes just for the making of the album. I'd have loved to see more recording session footage and such. That's my problem with the Circus Deluxe Edition DVD too - just not enough footage. (And not many comments on individual songs on the album like you get with Kelly's.) But it's still nice to have what's on there - seeing Kelly be all goofy is always worth money.

I'd say even with the disappointing brevity of video footage, if I was buying this myself, I'd have been happy to pay $5 more for bonus tracks and a DVD. And they're saying this could be her first CD since her debut to be #1. :D

I went out and bought the Deluxe Edition on Tuesday, and I agree with chicken - it is SO worth the extra money! It was on sale for $14.99 at Best Buy (only $1 more than what the standard would have been if it wasn't on sale for $9.99) - it's a great buy. Sure the DVD is a little short, but I am in love with this album. Every second is amazing, and "The Day We Fell Apart" is the best bonus track on the album! It's great! The best of 2009 so far. If another album that comes out later this year can beat this as my favorite, I will be surprised.

And I know the cardboard wallet thingies like Wall-E's soundtrack is in are better for the environment and all, but I'm SO glad the Kelly CD's in a jewel case. Well, at least the Deluxe Edition.

BTW, I noticed that the pic for the standard cover is used on the deluxe edition's back cover. Do they do the reverse on the standard edition?

Here's the scans. I fixed the text on one spine, but it wasn't until after that I noticed BOTH spines were printed upside down. However, if you were to print this artwork out and put it in a jewel case, for whatever reason you would need to, the spine that would most likely always be showing (The left one...well, it's left when you're looking at the front of the CD, but if you look at the image, it's the right one.) is correct.

Anyone notice that Kelly Clarkson has put on a little weight. Her appearance on "American Idol" Wednesday night was really amazing, and the song "My Life Would Suck Without You" really blew the roof of the place. I really think she has found her niche in the music world and will be adding this CD to the collection.

Regarding her AI appearance, I think that outfit she was wearing was not very flattering for her. I have seen her in person, and don't remember her being that 'big'.

She does fluctuate in weight from time to time, but it always looks far worse than it is because I'm convinced her stylist has it out for her. She is always wearing clothes that make her look even bigger than she is. My mom actually watched her and joked "Well, we found all the weight you lost." (I've been on a weight-loss diet for a while now and I've lost about 90 pounds.)

Yes, it is reversed on the standard edition. Can someone provide scans for the standard edition?

Also, has anyone noticed that Kelly's second most-downloaded song (after "My Life Would Suck Without You") is "Already Gone"? What's up with that? Guess it's a fan-favorite.

A lot of people who heard the leak cited Already Gone especially as one of their favorites, yes. Not to mention it's on the sticker that's on the CD, and often tracks mentioned on the stickers are potential singles and fan favorites.
